http://concealednation.org/2015/09/...ts-reach-1-5-million-adding-20000-each-month/ Good for Florida, people are tired of being victims. I believe from 2009 to 2014 the total crime index in Florida has dropped fairly steadily. http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/Content/getdoc/a324add7-5dd6-4201-9696-93bfd76bc36c/UCR-Home.aspx
My concealed carry classes here in Florida are consistently full. Women are the fastest growing demographic. All the other instructors that I know are reporting similar numbers.
Gee I wonder why blood isn't flowing in the streets yet? I am so glad that more and more people are realizing that they want to accept the responsibility of their own and their neighbors safety. I think it's safe to say we've had enough of criminals and the system that breeds them. You know it's necessary when nearly every LEO that works the streets encourages concealed carry.
Our local police very strongly encourage gun ownership and concealed carry. They do free carry classes a couple of times a year at the FOP range. At the end of the class, they'll even let you try out their full auto ARs.
It's not just your police department, it's the majority of police. Here is an interesting perspective on how they feel about it: http://www.policeone.com/Gun-Legisl...ey-11-key-lessons-from-officers-perspectives/
Some of the worst areas in the US, Chicago, Baltimore and NYC make it expensive and difficult to get a CC permit. They are also openly hostile to non-residents with their own CC permits to travel armed in their fifedoms. Only a good, conservative GOP president and congress can force these psycho-lib strongholds to uphold the 2nd Amendment.
Actually it's a good thing they exist. Not only can we show that CCW holders are not violent law-breakers, we can point and laugh at the results of their politics. It's pretty pathetic when they try to refute the facts of how their cities are violent hell-holes.
Yup. And that makes it so much easier for people with more than 1 brain cell to see them for what they are.
While I don't necessarily oppose the idea of concealed carry, I don't support needing government permission to defend myself if the need arises. The very concept that one requires permission by the government to exercise a Constitutional right is actually offensive...
Not from CCW folks. That would be gang bangers and drug dealers. Don't worry, we're whittling the criminal element down.
Take a look at the "2015 edition, What armed self defense looks like." thread. More and more Americans are refusing to be victims of criminal behavior.
Then stay in your country away from here. Some 80% of the violent crime in the US is gang violence... yet.. the left is unwilling to address this in an honest matter. If you don't associate with sketchy pieces of (*)(*)(*)(*), then your worries are null.
Yes there is, they are the gun grabbing scum that pollute these forums on a regular basis, not to mention other issues...
It's only dangerous if you live in one of the democratic-led, drug and thug infested cities like Chicago, Baltimore, or (ironically) Washington DC. What country are you from out of curiosity?
Are you only pretending to be naive? There are criminals who pose a threat to society, and those members of society who are determined to keep society intact. When one of those criminals threatens a responsible and armed member of society, he gets shot dead. Are you still confused? Of course, this is dangerous. Far more dangerous to those who seek to destroy society than to those who shoot them dead. Now you know.
Do you know that "left" means socialism, i.e. ownership of the means of production in critical industries such as transport, telecommunications, major utility services, public hospitals, schools, regulated banking, prisons and policing, and so forth. There are only two political parties in the USA and neither are Left. - - - Updated - - - Oh! shooting dead. Yes, I thought you meant that. A terrible way to live.
Have you not paid attention to what the left here is saying and doing? They get exactly what your saying, which is why the rest of us know they exist here...
More good news on the gun ownership growing front. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150911/summer-2015-new-record-for-gun-sales There is just no denying it. We are owning more guns in the USA and crime rates are diminishing. More importantly to me is that Law abiding citizens of all ages, races, and physical capabilities are able to defend themselves from the criminal element without having to wait for an overworked law enforcement agency to respond.
