My dear, no woman who isn't raped is forced to be pregnant. Your argument collapse completely at this very first (and crucial) hurdle.

Only rape results in unwanted pregnancies. In every other instance the woman has freely chosen it. 99.9% of women DO know how babies are made after all, though to read some of the bumph here you'd think they don't.

That 'very real and life changing decision' is made just before the point of conception. Stop pretending abortion happens in isolation from that decision.

 

Speak for your own country. In my country the majority of births are via midwife in our public hospitals .. and it's 100% free. Yet we STILL have a problem with convenience (non-medical) abortions.

 

They will never agree with that. They, quite literally, don't think women are capable of that kind of self-control and personal decision making power. It's incredibly misogynistic, but I don't think they realise that at all.
