    Nonsense.
You'd have provided some evidence if that were really true.

I think it has already run its course and many areas have reached some level of herd immunity.

The tests are bogus, and all the current hysteria and fear is founded upon bogus tests.

Only frightened and misinformed people will take the vaccine. Yes it's true, about half the country is frightened and misinformed, deliberately.

It's cute that you think it will be optional.
I'm afraid that a lot of the things you may want to do in future will require a vaccination certificate of some sort.

Titled "Suicide Mortality and Coronavirus Disease 2019: A Perfect Storm?" the article suggests that the unprecedented public health actions needed to contain the new pandemic, along with social distancing requirements, stay-at-home orders, and stress due to job loss, may well result in far more suicides in the years to come. Written by a team of mental health professionals led by Mark Regger of the University of Washington, the article outlines many of the economic, psychosocial, and health-associated risk factors that can be expected to increase suicide risk.

Which will be overturned in court, anyone who takes a lightly tested vaccine or forces others too is truly evil and needs to be sued if not incarcerated for the injuries that will have caused.

Do you understand the difference between an opinion piece and evidence?
Also, what does the phrase ''may well result in'' mean to you? Would you call that firm evidence?
One last question, does ''far more suicides in the years to come'' imply more suicides than previous years or more suicides than Covid deaths?

How about people who refuse to social distance or wear masks?
Should they be sued for the injuries they have caused?

Nope, it is each persons responsibility to take care of themselves, if you think someone is too close to you, you are free to move further away, no one is forcingyou to stand your ground.

If someone is not wearing a mask and you think that puts you at risk wear a mask that will protect you or move away some.

nah, in the late 30's and early 40's the National Socialists used unique numbers on each of the Jewish. I'm sure that our statists can think of something other than an X. Like with livestock, it is important to brand that which you believe you own and control

Embed chips that can be scanned from a distance, for extra fun tie them into the person's central nervous system, if they are not up to date then the chip can expire the tardy person. Once a few bodies pile up, that should help to increase mandatory vaccination compliance.

sadly, many of the young folk today would be OK with an embedded chip if it was sold to them as a way to simplify paying for their crapucino. (yes spelled that way on purpose)

Just in case you are talking about me.
I have my own company which does the catering for movies and TV.
I've not had any work in that field since December last year.
Realising I wasn't going to get any work for a while I took a job in a local pub in March, two weeks before the pubs were shut.
I've been hit harder than most by the shutdowns.
Thing is, I understand the need for them so even though I'm seriously out of pocket I accept they have to happen.

it has been sad watching the govt perform the usual, knee-jerk reaction. The desire to "do something" so they can have a sound bite on tv has really screwed the pooch this time. Lock downs have done jack squat other than put people out of work. The elderly and those with severe comorbidities are the at-risk group, yet once again, govt made things worse

I'm sorry about your business but it also hit software and high tech companies which service hospitality/travel/leisure.
I am sick to death of hearing about how many of us just want our beer or meal. Heck no, it's more than waitstaff. Commercial real estate has tanked, retail etc etc etc

The left and complicit media stoked the fear and all for politics. I am sickened by it. What's worse, are the folks who actually believe that politicians know how to cure this.

And they will be the first to provided free housing, then once there, the doors will be locked, the shutters closed and the gas turned on, problem solved.
