Diamond Pat Robertson dead at 93.

The man was pure evil, probably getting special treatment in hell for all the suffering he caused. Only question is where his followers went? Does sheer stupidity get you a pass?

 

I liked and admired him. And he fearlessly faced the hate of those who hate Christians. He's in a good place.

No way to play that but he was an evil, evil liar using christianity to amass personal wealth. That will soon be the ground. Some credit him for bringing religion in to GOP, now POT, politics. To the extent he deserves credit he should be scorned. He was a religoid of the worst order, blaming natural disasters on everything from homosexuality to the teaching of evolution. christ would have rejected his intolerance.

Jimmy Swaggart comes immediately to mind. After he got caught with hooker, he came on TV crying amd telling his flock about how he had sinned and had to make up for it. Not too long after that, he got caught with a hooker again! Any sap who gives money to that fraud deserves to hoodwinked. I see that clown's name crop up on my cable TV channels.

My parents were super religious people, but they didn't have much time for evangelists. According to them, those guys came in a soaked up money in the collection plate that could have been used in the local churches during the Depression in the 1930s.

Just search Pat Robertson Zaire and you'll get thousands of links to pick from, none of them in his favor, well, maybe there's one from .patrobertson.com that I didn't catch.
In his favor, he did this with three fine christian brutal dictators who all got deposed shortly thereafter his teams arriving or just before. Maybe God was giving him a hint?

I of course can't judge how someone is going to be judged after they die.

I wouldn't say he was full-out "evil" (I mean he certainly wasn't a Joel Osteen) but there were several things about him, what he talked about and how he ran his show, that did not feel like very good Christian things.

I can't believe there were so many conservatives that just thought he was wonderful and that nothing he did was the slightest bit wrong or off.

I do expect he'll have some serious answering for to do when he stands before the pearly gates, but that's true of many people.
