Did Obama call Sarah Palin when Bill Maher called her a (*)(*)(*)(*)?

Nobody knows.

The more pressing question is: Did Obama publicly defend Bill Maher after he called her a slut?

The answer of course, is no. Did any high-ranking Democrats rush over to Maher's defense or publicly defend him? None of them did.

On the other hand, did the retardlican presidential candidates immediately rush over to Limbaugh's defense? All of them did. Because they worship him, they grovel at his feet, they are petrified of him. Look what happened to RNC Chairman Michael Steele in 2010 when he called Limbaugh "just an entertainer", he was forced to apologize to Limbaugh. Limbaugh was vehemently defended publicly by republican politicians, Bill Maher wasn't defended by any democratic politician.

 

REally? all of the presidential candidates came to his defense?

 

To be honest, I'd never heard Maher call Palin a c-word, and that is every bit as wrong as what Limbaugh did, though after some research I did see that a few Democratic women did speak out against it, but not nearly enough.

If nothing else, this should teach all of us that both Maher and Limbaugh are buffoons that no one should pay any attention to.

He specifically called himself a LIBERTARIAN which means he is closer to the right wing, not left.

So, I do condemn it. No public celebrity should talk about a woman in that manner. It's disgusting and debases females as a whole.

The difference between Fluke and Palin is that Palin really is a (*)(*)(*)(*).

 

While what Maher did is vulgar and rude, a comedian calling a political candidate a vulgar name that does not imply sexual impropriety or any other fact about her behavior, is not the same as a supposed news commentator fabricating lies about the sex life of a a private person and calling her a slut and a prostitute, which indicate a type of sexual behavior.

It should, but for many conservatives on this board, what it taught me is that there is no level of deplorable behavior that someone like Rush can do that they will not excuse.

 

That's not relevant to the point I was making but as I said elsewhere, how do you know he didn't? Since they are all Republicans, would it be in their interests to announce that the President called them to commiserate?

 

Why should have Obama called Palin? Bill Maher should be the one to apologize, not the President.

I gather Fluke was in the position to be insulted because she was invited by Democrats to give evidence to Congress. I suspect Obama felt an element of collective responsibility which led him to contact her.

Palin chose to enter politics on her own back and thus opens herself to insult and ridicule like all other politicians - it shouldn't happen but it does. I don't think that carries the same weight on Obama to contact her directly when she is a victim any more than he would be expected to do so for all the other professional politicians who suffer the same kind of thing.

If the President was expected to call everyone insulted by a lazy political commentator/comedian, he'd never have time to do anything else.

You keep asking that as if it's a reasonable question, so I will once again ask what I think is a reasonable question: Did Palin or anybody else call Obama to apologize for her calling him a terrorist and whipping up fear and hatred of him at her rallies to the point people were yelling "Kill him!" and she had to be stopped by her own campaign?

What was Palin's "punishment"? Did she issue a public apology? Would you call that giving HER a pass?

You don't recover from the kind of serious addiction he had with a couple of weeks in therapy. Oxycontin is one of the worst, most addictive substances out there. People who were taking 1 or 2 a day take up to 2 years to recover. Rush was taking enough to make him go deaf which indicates he was taking many more than that.
