You don't know that yet, no CCCM

It's not illegal, if the Chief had been right and they stormed in and got the hostages killed what would people say?

Not about how it looks and arguably they DID follow the procedures.

Great, rent an expert waffle on for 15 mins before they get their cheque.

    YES!

~ From everything reported so far the police made no aggressive action to neutralize the shooter. The SWAT team actually had to disobey orders to move in and stop the shooter.
We may not yet know all the details/facts — but so far it looks like another F '- up ... :-?'

All true. However there are written protocols designed to eliminate hind sight.

The protocol is to run toward the shooting immediately and put an end to it. What they did was the way the old protocols worked.

No, it is to use minimum force, otherwise you get sued or prosecuted. The law holds the police to impossible standards these days, so you got what you wanted.

Well, hell, the official report is that the Uvalde police chief didn't even have his fugging RADIO with him! How do you pretend to command ANYTHING without communications?!

~ The procedure here seems to be : "Wait for further instructions "... :ashamed:

Why couldn't they inform that Uvalde police chief by some messenger on horseback - like in the good old golden days?

Well, the guy in command made a bad call and probably should be demoted as his judgement isn't what is required for that position. It's not a barricaded subject when shots are fired and he won't talk to you. If shots have been fired, and no communication takes place, you can only assume people have been shot and may be bleeding to death so to save lives you have to get in there. I don't blame other cops for following orders. You have to assume the person in charge knows things you don't and has better judgement. But in this case, he didn't.

    To complain

We'll see, let's have the official report rather than the press.

Actually.... there is a level of incompetence that is so serious that it makes you wonder if very high level people are so worried about their being indicted that they will go all out in a last ditch effort to disarm Americans........
so that they can perhaps avoid doing jail time for what they did in the past?????

I guess "2000 Mules" and other types of information that is coming out may be producing a lot of INAPPROPRIATE FEAR as well as the good kind of fear?!

Is "2000 Mules" producing appropriate FEAR?

    ?
Are big name politicians experiencing FEAR after watching 2000 Mules?

The protocol is to go after an Active Shooter immediately, but did they think the shooter was active?

My understanding is they were unsure of whether he was still shooting people or possibly using survivors as hostages.
