right wingers are in a bigger state of euphoria than they were when Bush was elected - soon enough they became mightily disappointed - we shall see how things pan out for Trump

    meanwhile,

    Here's more:

By Jessica Chasmar - The Washington Times - Tuesday, April 4, 2017
Dixie Chicks frontwoman and outspoken liberal Natalie Maines went on a Twitter tear against President Trump on Tuesday, saying she “hates” the Republican for bringing out the “worst” in her.
“Do you ever feel like you can’t escape the person that brings out the worst in you?” the 42-year-old lead singer tweeted, tagging the president directly. “[Mr. Trump] you’re mine and I hate you for it.”

“So, @realDonaldTrump I’m just desperate for you to care about all people. Black, white, poor, rich, gay, straight. I need you to care,” she continued. “Because @realDonaldTrump in the end it’s all that really matters. How pure was your heart? Not how much $ did you make?”
Taking a line from Mr. Trump’s own campaign slogan, Ms. Maines pleaded for the president to make America great “for people who don’t even know from great.”

“That’s what will make you a good human being that stops tweeting hatred and discrimination at 4AM,” she wrote. “Just do right by human beings. If you take $ out of the equation, the same basic things bring every human happiness.”
Ms. Maines, whose band is currently touring Australia and New Zealand, has been an outspoken critic of Mr. Trump since he became the Republican presidential nominee last year.
At a Cincinnati concert in June, the country-music trio sang their 1999 hit “Goodbye Earl” against a backdrop of a photograph of Mr. Trump with scribbled on devil horns, a mustache and goatee.
The Dixie Chicks famously sparked controversy for their political views during a 2003 concert in London, at which Ms. Maines told told fans she was “ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas,” referring to former President George W. Bush.

For that we have to be eternally grateful. I'm sick to death of three-chord songs from the big hats about dogs and trucks and lurve.

The Chicks Rock and Natalie is one of the all-time great lead singers.

The Chicks have moved beyond all that BS from 2003, that derailed their career.

It just goes to show that you really can't fix stupid. I guess she is incapable of learning from her mistakes. I would never buy any of her music and I guess I'm not alone...

Well they're only going have a grand audience of three in Trumpland.

So it's probably just as well there are plenty of non cult Americans outside of the Jim Jonesian bubble to enjoy them.

It's quite the miracle that unwashed, loser, lefty, food stamp cheatin', terrorist supportin' fake citizens can make the gal so wealthy.

I hear a fatwa on music is about to be signed, though.

Provided he doesn't slouch off like the bewildered, creaking old half man/half donkey he clearly is.

They were ostracized from country music because they said what they did in a foreign country, not because of what they said.

And this stupid little twit still doesn't realize. They went on Barbara Walters and whined about being censored, no you were being rebuked for disloyalty to the country that made you rich. The worst I heard that people did was move their cds to other genres so people couldn't find them. There were also call in campaigns to get radio stations to stop playing their music.

That's a lot less destructive than what the left is doing now.

I think that says a lot. Big country music fan, are you? Strange, I didn't know it was popular at all outside of the US. Maybe it's because they are a progressive group?

Oh, but that's the thing with the Dixie Chicks, they hid their political views for a long time. They made sure they got rich off conservative leaning country music fans before they had enough conviction to get their butch haircuts and start slamming Republicans. Brave, eh? I guess you can say they pulled a pretty good con on their audience and got rich doing it. The left frequently has to do this because they know, if they reveal themselves too much, they won't go anywhere. That's why few will openly run on open borders. It's why few campaigned on gay marriage up until very recently.

I don't know why she would do that to her hair? It looks terrible now. That is not an attractive haircut, I must say.
