    She released a solo album in 2013. She also took some time off to have 2 babies. I think it's stupid to deliberately (*)(*)(*)(*) off your audience, but I love to listen to their music.

    An artist I like, Moby, is also very anti-Trump. He also espouses vegetarian or vegan ideas, though. Doesn't really affect how I like his music, of course, and I don't place any particular store by his opinions simply because of it or his celebrity status, and the same applies to this Dixie Chick or anyone else. Don't let it affect your work - the stuff I like - and I won't care..

    You're still arguing that popularity or musical ability is somehow relevant to credibility. Their fame is only important insofar as it gave them a stage on which to air their opinion, OBVIOUSLY SUCCESSFULLY.

    Again, IRRELEVANT. . . . Regardless of who RECOGNIZED their voices, they were obviously HEARD. . . . ( I imagine you consider the Beatles and ABBA has-beens, also.)

    Most of the Beatles are dead, so yeah. Lol. Will the Beatles ever be chart toppers? Nope.

    The Dixie Chicks are totally irrelevant. I doubt if many people care at all what they think, and like I said, most people under 30 have never even heard of the Dixie Chicks, unlike the Beatles.

    I also have to note that comparing the Beatles to the Dixie Chicks . . . bad form. :D

    Well actually I think what he is trying to discredit is the left's odd notion that What some never was singer thinks is terribly relevant just because she dissed Trump.

    Whether you admit it or not, you are insinuating that she is not worthy to exercise her First Amendment rights. . . . Does your opinion of her opinion have more validity than her opinion?

    She and I are both ashamed because it is shameful. It does not help to move elsewhere, because thinking persons realize that what Trump's election says about the health of democracy as an institution in the 21st century, transcends national borders. Some of our ugliest truths stay just as ugly, everywhere in the world.

    Once a song or group achieves star quality, it lasts forever. Great songs that I remember from long ago are still great. Nat King Cole will always be great. These days the old groups they never retire, just stay on tour. Somebody's buying tickets. Maine's political opinions have no influence on her music. I'm not going to stop watching Robert De Niro or Streep because they're brain washed liberals who think their political opinion is righteous.

    There is nothing brave about what they did.

    If everyone is afraid of saying it why are they saying it as you say?

    There is no fear or danger of speaking out and anyone who wishes to is doing so.

    You and others are simply upset that few care or listen to or agree with you
