There are very few crimes where the feelings of the victim are dispositive when determining whether the crime occurred and abuse of power is not one of them.

Even if that were true - and we did not have an intermediate event where the Ukraine prosecutor declared zero wrongdoing on behalf of the Bidens (and we do have that statement from May, three months later), then trump requesting Ukraine to "do something" into JOE BIDEN (hint: not the same as the Burisma oil investigation) is still improper.

Unlike in the Trump-Russia situation where Putin himself directed his government to act illegally to help Trump in the election, the assistance to Hillary Clinton was the result of an official investigation and not directed by the top of the Ukrainian government.

Requesting a foreign power provide campaign assistance in the form of an investigation against your domestic political opponent while you simultaneously and unilaterally hold up hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid and then trying to hide, lie about, and obstruct the investigation is an abuse of power and obstruction of justice.
