Neither is "thin" i guess someone cracking a joke that involves themselves in the process went right over your head.. Then again coming from the everything is an outrage crowd i am not surprised.
We need to look at this honestly, logically, and in perspective of the context of the situation at hand. We need to see the video of the incident not just a still. Why?? As you said and Inbelieve I did in another post we need to know if DJT returned the salute or did DJT initiate the saluting. If DJT returned the salute I am not going to condemn him for that under those circumstances. If the NorKor General was extending a hand shake and DJT saluted him instead than that is not a smart, proper , or diplomatically correct thing to do. Oh and no diplomatic correctness is not the same as PC.
War my a**!!! LOL...Trump has pinheads believing that he saved the world. Trump's smoke and mirror reality show...the N. Korea summit episode.
I would think the reason is obvious. The impression the left's media apparatus is giving, and it's promotors are passing on, is that the President walked up and saluted this guy. Period. But, as the facts and context are provided, it turns out to be something different. This is just one of thousands of examples of the left's media erasing context to sell a narrative it has learned it can generate revenue with.
The context does not matter to anyone save those trying to find a reason to defend Trump. North Korea does not care about the context. Trump saluted their general. US Military personnel do not care about the context. The US President saluted the officer of a foreign dictator's army.
Here's what CNN actually notes about the report. Try to check your assumptions. https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/14/politics/takeaways-ig-report-comey-fbi/index.html
I certainly know context doesn't matter to the left's media, and to those tasked with spreading it. If they allowed their target audience to see the context, the propaganda they create and spread would have far less impact. Normal people would just see it as an awkward moment. That's why context is almost universally removed from every dog whistle created for their target audience. And that's why this type of thing is considered propaganda to people outside the demographic.
The President first attempted to shake the officers hand. The man, retracted his hand and then saluted. The President responded to that salute. https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/po...ean-general/wLAdSav3K4qiquFOGLzhTN/story.html However, KCTV did capture one moment (which takes place at 22:35 in the video) that was largely missed by American audiences. When meeting No Kwang Chol, North Korea’s minister for the People’s Armed Forces and a top military leader, Trump initially tries to shake his hand. No pulls his hand back and then salutes the president. Trump then responds with his own salute in return, before the two men shake hands as Kim smiles in the background.
Great. Good chat. Meanwhile, Trump still saluted the military officer of a foreign dictator and that salute is being used as propaganda for it's "very tough" and "very smart" leader.
Hey guys, no one dislikes trump more than I do but he's getting taken down the path on this one. The general first saluted trump and trump did nothing more than acknowledge and return the salute. When trump did the return the general had stuck his hand out for a hand shake. The still picture does make trump look weak and will certainly be used by the N. Korean's to their advantage. Trump was following protocol (as much as I hate to admit it).
Yes, hint of diplomacy since Obama never personally met Kim. He said that he wanted to meet him and was immediately attacked by the usual suspects, the same suspects that are now congratulating Trump for personally meeting Kim - that is the definition of hypocrisy
It wasn't many months ago that the MSM was complaining that Trump was on a hair trigger course to start a war with NK, Hawaii was scared dungless, Kim was testing and launching, and US intelligence was embarrassed that they had missed the true nuclear capacity of NK by such a wide margin.
If it was meet for the purpose of giving them more goodies as we have for decades then that deserves scorn. If it was meeting for purpose to disarm and hopefully a united Korea i am all for it.. Keep in mind i defended Obama for wanting to end the Cuba embargo...
That's what Americans do, they salute. It's better than bowing, or that half-assed crap Obama did with his coffee cup salute when he could have switched coffee to the empty hand not used for saluting. There's a difference between lazy and motivated. 2008 to 2016 we saw lazy. 2017 to present we're seeing motivated. You don't have to like it, but you have to live with it.
I have no idea why you keep substituting your name for North Korea but it is disturbing... YOU are spinning this as propaganda and have shown you have no interest in events leading up to it or context.
