If you have a net loss in income on what are you supposed to pay an income tax and what is your share? And what is your source on what years and how many of them he paid not taxes, your statement is all inclusive of all taxes.

Anb can you cite me a list of large business such as a Trump casino or golf resort or large manufacture which made a taxable profit the first year of inception?

Right, right. Look, the fact that trump could possibly declare a net loss that would absolve him from taxes for decades is absurd. But more to the point, the mere image of a filthy rich silver spoon fed spoiled brat paying zero taxes while hard working men and woman struggle to pay their "fair share" is not going to win him any sympathy. Maybe if he came out and said, "The system is badly flawed when a person like me doesn't pay ANY taxes and here's what I'm going to do to fix it." Maybe I missed it but I haven't heard that statement from him.

Yes. And that is the ONLY way a third party will be able to crack this nut, by infiltrating one of the parties.

I disagree. In the VERY unlikely event that the election goes to the house, Johnson will win. ALL the democrats, realizing they do not have the numbers to give it to HRC, will vote for him. None of the republicans will vote for HRC, obviously, and Ryan will lead a sufficient number of republican Trump-haters (I think only about 30 are necessary) to seal the deal for Johnson. It is the best thing that could possibly happen for our country, at this point, but it is exceedingly unlikely; on the order of 'powerball winning' unlikely.

If I thought he had a chance of winning my state, I'd throw my vote his way. And I still might, out of principal. Last week I was definite in my support of Johnson. This week, I'm not so sure. Next week I may change again. The worst possible outcome for our country is an HRC presidency, and I currently feel I must cast my vote to mitigate that possibility, no matter what.

Well first you are are using the NYT pure conjecture and suppositions as fact. We have no idea what his taxes have been but if he is involved in new and growing businesses which pass through his personal income taxes it is not absurd at all.

Due to the ignorance of the general population about business and taxes? A persons decides to start a new business, one requiring a lot of capital be expended up front and it takes years to get it up and running and then to just break even. YES there are going to be losses on the front end and those losses carry over and are applied to the future profits.

What is so hard to grasp about that? It is how business operate and get establish and even expand. Then there is the depreciation. A resort like he builds has $150,000 in just the kitchen equipment. That is depreciated and lowers the gross income over several years.
What is flawed about the above? And what is illegal or even immoral about it? ANY person has those same laws and write offs and depreciations IF they start and run a privately held business where the business taxes run through their personal taxes. THAT is how it is set up in our tax system for sole proprieter business large and small.

To make the claim Trump is ripping off the government or not paying taxes he owes or anything about it is absurd.

Fraud, misdeclaration and false claims. His loses does not balance out with his previous declared income, his carried over loses is under audit for the same reasons.
Release his taxes and either he'll be exonerated or we'll learn the specific violations one thing for sure Trump is afraid that he'll lose his hardcore supporters if he release his taxes.

The individual representatives do not vote, they vote as a delegation for their state. There will be 50 votes the one getting the majority becoming President. The Republicans hold the majority of states and they will vote Trump NOT Johnson or Clinton.

And if Johnson keeps blowing and the more he exposes his unpreparedness the more he will drop and it might be Stein or a write in as the third person on the Congressional list.

I did not know that. I thought they voted individually. If that is the case, then I concur. Now, I have some reading to do. ;) Thank you.

What fraud, misdeclarations and false claims has the IRS determined and be specific.

Really? And how did you come to this conclusion?
And when did the IRS release this determination.

His hardcore supporters don't care about his taxes unless he did something illegal and there is no such evidence. The fact is that no matter what is in his taxes the left will misrepresent it and make phony charges just like they did with Romney.

Here you go, 12th Amendment in the event no candidate gets a majority of the Electoral College

"and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; "

And so the question becomes: What is the party distribution of STATES in the house, and could the democrats and the Trump-hating Ryan republicans collude to give the win to Johnson. It sounds far less likely than if it were individual votes.

Wonder why Madoff didn't use that defense? Not to mention all the wealthy pimps and drug dealers.

This notion that there is no morality or ethics required because the only thing that counts is wealth accumulation is, to me at least, a disgusting perspective.

Please provide any evidence of this specious claim that leftists want to use the tax code to pick winners and losers.

    Trump paid none.

    Not rich enough.

And what about you? Were you stupid enough to pay any taxes?

Could is a pretty broad term. Any chance they would? Hardly. Johnson is a non-issue, in what state has he even broken 20%? The Libertarians had a shot at breaking the 5% to qualify for funds next election but he's losing that for them. He couldn't break double digits to get into the debates and he's only hurt himself more since then.

    Did he owe some?

I blame him for weaseling out on his civic duties, letting the little guys pickup the tab. It doesn't exactly inspire loyalty or idealism. Small qualities for an everyday guy maybe, but qualities I do look for in a nation leader.

But anyway, it isn't the point.

The point is; Are taxes the sole burden of the American middle class? Are they stupid to continue paying for the actual functionning of the damn country?

I am beginning to think that they indeed are.

What is greed? Didn't Friedman school Phil Donahue on it?

    What civic duty?

Define little but, the bottom 47% not only pay little if any of the income taxes you are claiming he does not pay the bottom 25% MAKES money off the tax system. How much tab is the bottom 47% supposed to pick up?

The middle class pays about 15% of income taxes, doesn't seem like much of a "sole burden" to me. And they want to pay even less!!!

So when you take tax deductions you're just weaseling out. That would make most everyone on this forum weasels except for, of course, those that don't pay taxes.

It's not like he cannot contribute. It's called abusing the system, and it isn't a dignified nation leader trait.

Oh, and another thing: These one-percenters, they're quick to press for more US aggression from which they benefit, but they certainly don't contribute too much themselves. A fine system, right?

The one that consist in paying your part of the tab that made America great.

Attention-begging strawman; The point is that the one-percenters own everything, reap everything, give nothing back. And you're going to elect one of these President. Of the People.

    Ha ha ha.
