Except they were US Gov't property

    Diaper Donnie charges:

"willful retention of national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, conspiracy to obstruct justice, corruptly concealing documents, concealing documents in a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, and making false statements"

Nah he just kept a few docs

You f&kkn guys, the PRA was put into law after the criminal Nixon refused to hand over HIS VP and Presidential papers, after every US Prez since FDR did. It cost the US $17 million to "buy" them from Nixon'

You seriously think they wrote a law that says Diaper Donnie could take anything he wants?

The Presidential Records Act (PRA) requires the President to separate personal documents from Presidential records before leaving office. 44 U.S.C. 2203(b). The PRA makes clear that, upon the conclusion of the President’s term in office, NARA assumes responsibility for the custody, control, preservation of, and access to the records of a President. 44 U.S.C. 2203(g)(1).

The PRA makes the legal status of Presidential records clear and unambiguous, providing that the United States reserves and retains “complete ownership, possession, and control of Presidential records.” 44 U.S.C. 2202.

    Completely False

He also told his lawyers to lie.

He is still looking for another lawyer ( based in Miami) and those he approached are demanding their fee upfront. He does not pay his bills or his lawyers.
The judge has given them five days to make sure they all have clearance ( so they can see the classified docs)
Trump is claiming that he will weaponize the DOJ against his political enemies,

WE HAVE YET to HEAR WHAT HE PLANS TO DO FOR THE COUNTY....

There has been no answer to the question of WHY did he take all those docs in the first place?? He HAD to KNOW that they didn't belong to him..and that there is a protocol for docs after a Prez leaves office.
Another example where the rules don't apply to him .....in HIS mind.

What did he intend to do with them??? Did it have something to do with his massive ego??

That was dumb from the onset.
Why did he not cooperate fully when asked for the docs?? Why obstruct??
why play the game of "shift the boxes from room to room "
He has ONLY HIMSELF to blame. If folks cannot see that.... there isa problem that is even bigger than he is.

Why is he not disqualified from running??? The baggage he is carrying makes him UNFIT for the job...as does his rage filled attitude.

What is really sad , is that he continues to dominate the news and takes the attention away from the other candidates who might have good plans for the country, if they could be heard.

Nah, every Prez since FDR turned them over until criminal Nixon and the US had to buy them from him for $17 million, which is why Diaper Donnie diesn't own them, it's PRA they created afterwards.

Only the people on the far left knew Diaper Donnie would be a criminal until the day he dies, the "moderates" believed he'd play by some rules, he got them, again

    Cool

‘Where are all of the arrests?’: Trump demands Barr lock up his foes

The day-long run of tweets and retweets marked the most frantic stretch of Trump’s public activity since he left Walter Reed.

“Where are all of the arrests?” Trump said, after several dozen tweets on the subject over the past 24 hours. “Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? Long term sentences would have started two years ago. Shameful!”

By early afternoon, Trump was letting loose his frustrations in an all-caps missive that seemed aimed at nobody in particular.

“DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, THE BIGGEST OF ALL POLITICAL SCANDALS (IN HISTORY)!!! BIDEN, OBAMA AND CROOKED HILLARY LED THIS TREASONOUS PLOT!!! BIDEN SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN - GOT CAUGHT!!!” Trump tweeted.

Good thing the DOJ never mentions PRA in the 37 count indictment then right?

Any of these in the PRA

"willful retention of national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, conspiracy to obstruct justice, corruptly concealing documents, concealing documents in a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, and making false statements."

I’m sure it will come out in court. Have you contacted his lawyers to ensure they know what you know?

You want me to believe that it is a fact that Hillary did nothing criminal because she wasn't prosecuted? LOL. That Hillary was never guilty of a crime is an opinion, certainly not a fact and a partisan one at that.

Now you're twisting things by saying that I said things I never said. I never said that Clinton was innocent. In fact, if you remember, I gave the link to Comey's statement and what that says is that what was done wasn't worth the time and effort to take to trial because they probably would not have won which is the "opinion" shared by partisan successors after him. There are "crimes" and there are crimes. Rolling through a stop sign is a "crime" but most times is left with a warning. Same thing.

This is a good read explaining the emails.
    Sept.2022

'Hillary Clinton’s claim that ‘zero emails’ were marked classified'

    snips:

'Many of the emails in question were sent late at night or on weekends, the report said. One prosecutor who worked on the case told the IG: “The problem was the State Department was so screwed up in the way they treated classified information that if you wanted to prosecute Hillary Clinton, you would have had to prosecute 150 State Department people.”

“There was no evidence that the senders or former Secretary Clinton believed or were aware at the time that the emails contained classified information,” the Justice IG report said. “The emails in question were sent to other government officials in furtherance of the senders’ official duties. There was no evidence that the senders or former Secretary Clinton intended that classified information be sent to unauthorized recipients, or that they intentionally sought to store classified information on unauthorized systems.”

    'The emails with classified markings'

In his news conference, Comey said “three of those were classified at the time they were sent or received.” At the time, he said one was marked “secret” and two “confidential,” but at a congressional hearing two days later, he said all were marked “confidential,” the lowest form of classification. Moreover, he acknowledged that markings — a (C) — were contained in the body of the text and, contrary to standard practice, there was no header at the top alerting someone that this was classified material. He told lawmakers that without a header, it was “a reasonable inference” that this material was not classified.'

In regards to 1 your comment is nonsensical. Trump was charged for how he handled documents ONCE HE WAS NO LONGER CHIEF EXECUTIVE not while he was Chief Executive.

In regards to 2, you again offer no prove of misconduct. In fact if the DOJ after what Trump has repeatedly admitted to doing on public domain did not press charges, that would be a dereliction of their duty and members of the public could step up and file such charges on their own.

It appears you have no clue as to the laws of your nation and live in a partisan world of Trumpisms,

What an odd statement. Since I wrote it and I know my intentions when I wrote it I can tell you that your interpretation is not accurate at all.

You're hired by "we the people".
Your Trump options are the first time I've read or heard as such.

Trump's addiction to "yes men" may be his ultimate downfall
Trump is too narcissistic to see he's just being used by lawyers who tell him what he wants to hear'

    snip:

'Despite the nakedly disingenuous "witch hunt" posturing from Republicans, honest observers can agree on one thing: The Department of Justice has been ridiculously lenient towards Donald Trump in the stolen classified documents case.

As Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, noted in a recent statement, the Justice Department granted "Mr. Trump the time and opportunity to avoid charges that would not generally have been afforded to others."

"To the extent that political considerations influenced the DOJ's handling of the case," Eric Levitz of New York wrote earlier this week, "they led the department to extend Trump extraordinary opportunities to extricate himself from legal peril so as to avoid the politically inflammatory spectacle of his prosecution.'

'It's hard to imagine anyone less deserving of special consideration than Trump, a man who literally tried to overthrow the U.S. government. And yet, he refuses to be grateful for the unearned mercy he enjoys. Wednesday, the Washington Post reported that Trump's lawyer, Christopher Kise, "wanted to quietly approach Justice to see if he could negotiate a settlement that would preclude charges" by agreeing to give the documents back. Kise saw that the Justice Department was bending over backward to give Trump an out and wanted to take it. Trump, however, "was not interested after listening to other lawyers who urged a more pugilistic approach."

Trump is having a difficult time keeping lawyers.

CNN reports, "A lawyer who was representing former President Donald Trump in his defamation lawsuit against CNN said Friday that he was withdrawing from the case, in the latest sign of the break-up of the Trump legal team since the lawyer, Jim Trusty, and another Trump attorney stopped representing the former president in the criminal documents case against him.

“Mr. Trusty’s withdrawal is based upon irreconcilable differences between Counsel and Plaintiff and Counsel can no longer effectively and properly represent Plaintiff,” Trusty said in a filing requesting the court’s permission to withdraw.

"Trusty, along with attorney John Rowley, previously announced that they would not represent Trump in the charges that special counsel Jack Smith brought against the former president, related to the sensitive government documents he retained from his presidency and his alleged obstruction of the federal investigation into the handling of those materials.

Just how low can Republicans go?

So, a foreign national is attacking the President of the United States, and we know this. Several Republican Senators and Republican representatives, including committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), along with most grassroots Trump Republicans accept what the foreign national is saying about our President.

    **************************************************************************************************************************************************

    Sorry, an afterthought.

Trump's popularity has soared since his criminal indictment. By far, he continues to be the leading Republican candidate for the Presidency, and the leader of the Republican Party.

His trial on the felony charges may or may not take place before the 2024 Presidential election.

    How low can Republicans go?

They are willing to accept a convicted felon as President of the United States!

And, no doubt, their silence on this issue will continue.

These same Republicans chose our President once before. Will it happen again?

Anyone heard if the documents listed in Trump's indictment were brushed for fingerprints?

'DOJ seeks protective order to prevent Trump from releasing classified materials amid ongoing investigation'

BY REBECCA BEITSCH - 06/16/23 4:20 PM ET
    snip:

'The suggested protective order, which will be reviewed by Judge Bruce Reinhart, would allow Trump to review the 31 documents the DOJ is using in the case only while in the presence of his attorneys.

“Defendants shall only have access to Discovery Materials under the direct supervision of Defense Counsel or a member of Defense Counsel’s staff. Defendants shall not retain copies' of Discovery Material. Defendants may take notes regarding Discovery Materials, but such notes shall be stored securely by Defense Counsel,” the DOJ wrote.
