I agree with him 100% on McCain. He should have also mentioned that it was McCain who insisted the IRS illegally target the Tea Party groups to bankrupt them. Johns legacy for all eternity.

As more time passes, I become more of a federalist libertarian.

No, I won't. Republicans and democrats, to me, are the same. They are all about entrenched interests and big lobbyists and no one here can deny it. The republicans are so in bed with big business they appoint people to the EPA who are in bed with big oil - not exactly serving my interest, are they?

If so you are not paying attention

One party must be closer to your ideals than the other

And if not perfect it is easier to ammend from inside than with a fringe 3rd party

Any human being would have beaten Trump.

It is just as much the Democrats fault as the republicans. He won the worst election in the history of the country. Both candidates were dog****.

Neither party matches my ideals. I am pro multi parties. I don't care what current political graft is. I want more options, and I aim to get them.

No. I am the silent majority that seethes at the inadequacies of our system and rails against partisans.

50% of the country doesn't vote. Because we aren't represented.

No, his legacy for your eternity. Trump should not be dissing those who are suffering. Rather, he should keep his mouth shut.
Trump is leading our country down the toilet and this will be his legacy.

There is much too much hard evidence that he has a mental problem. I think it's a case of being emotionally damaged from youth as he appears to be stuck, emotionally, at about age 13. But whatever it is, I find it shocking how a few can manage to overlook it and excuse it to praise him. He has damaged America, offended important allies, befriended (or thinks he has) long-time adversaries, and shown horrible judgement in mocking people with disabilities and even past presidents as you mentioned, not to mention his misogyny and racism. And that's only a start. Yet some few say they can't see it. But we know the problem is them and not the majority.

It would not shock me to see McCain show up for the Senate vote just to vote against Kavanaugh. McCain seems to have become unhinged as of late.

Satisfaction With U.S. Direction Reaches 12-Year High
    https://news.gallup.com/poll/235739/satisfaction-direction-reaches-year-high.aspx

Not too bad considering the 24/7 media propaganda convincing half of Americans that we are doomed under the Trump administration.

And McCains legacy will still be the guy who insisted that the IRS illegally target the tea party groups, his political opponents, in order to bankrupt them. He is a petty, vindictive old man.

Yeah, with the thumbs down for the camera like when he voted to keep Obamacare in place after a couple of years vowing to repeal it.

Damn, you think Trump is the first guy to point out the silliness of "A Thousand Points of Light?"

    Trump riffed:

A thousand points of light, what the hell was that? What did that mean? Does anyone know? Has anyone ever figured that one out? And it was put out by a Republican!

I know one thing. ‘Make America Great Again’ we understand! ‘Putting America First’ we understand! ‘A thousand points of light,’ I never quite got that one
    .
And you promptly, and quite dramatically, soil your drawers.

Here is what Mike Dukakis, Democrat Nominee and Bush’s opponent in the 1988 election said about “a thousand points of light” during the presidential debate of September 25:

[A] thousand points of light – I don’t know what that means...

So when Trump said he doesn’t know what “a thousand points of light” means, he was picking up a Democratic talking point. He wasn’t showing himself to be cold-hearted or anti-uniting American any more than Dukakis or others on the left who ridiculed the slogan were.

Clearly you guys aren't auditioning for Mensa!

There is a time and a place for everything. He was mocking Bush and then McCain. Wrong time and wrong place. "A Thousand Points of Light" was a term used by Bush and explained by Bush (a Republican) as meaning Community groups that promoted volunteerism in America. At the time the term was well known as it was used by Bush senior quite often. Later it became the name of a volunteer group. Trump, of course, used his moment in the sun to mock Bush, knowing that it would resonate with his uninformed base.

He said the same thing about it that the Democrat nominee said about it to the wide agreement of Democrats at the time, Trump probably was a Democrat at the time, it appears to have resonated with him. Do you guys every get weary of your faux outrage? The American People are certainly tired of it.
