Governor Newsome of California lied a lot about supporting laws that downgraded felonies but now blames police and prosecutors for rise in crime. Newsome previously claimed that work done by Proposition 47, Proposition 57 and Assembly Bill 109 had all helped to reduce crime in California. And now he's suggesting that more work needs to be carried out by the law enforcement officers and state attorneys if the state is going to see reduced crime rates. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-Newsom-ignorant-liar-praised-state-laws.html The most populous state California is home to the most registered democrats in the nation, as well as having perhaps the most radical leftist governor...Gavin Newsome. Inside the link you can see just how serious crimes like murder have skyrocketed in that state that in total to their radical leftist leadership which also includes their hapless district attorneys in their large cities. We see people fleeing that state in hordes. My advice to Dems fleeing your state of Kalifornicator is that you don't further Democrat America by spreading that Dem disease in any of the red states you chose to live in. This advice equally applies to those dems fleeing the crime ridden state of New York (especially N.Y.C.).
If you check the states with the highest crime rates - well, let's just say that the political party running those states isn't just the Democrats. But you can pretend what you want to - whatever.
Had. NYC had one of the lowest murder rates. https://nypost.com/2021/12/30/nyc-murders-in-2021-to-near-500-for-first-time-in-a-decade/ Though that's a damn sight better than 1987-1991 (when I lived in Hell's Kitchen), where there were never less than 2,200 homicides per year (the Koch/Dinkins years). Just walking through Times Square was an accomplishment. Now check this out: https://abcnews.go.com/US/12-major-us-cities-top-annual-homicide-records/story?id=81466453 Name the ONE THING these twleve cities have in common... (Hint it starts with a 'D')
Better to look at the cities - which is where most of the crime occurs. Here's an example: https://abcnews.go.com/US/12-major-us-cities-top-annual-homicide-records/story?id=81466453 What do these twelve cities have in common? (Hint it starts with a 'D')
What if we just used, "most homicides" over a single weekend. Who do you think wins? Chicago, Philly, or LA? Detroit perhaps? Memphis? Who runs those cities again?
NYC's homicide rate has more than doubled since 2018. Any objective observer has to credit Giuliani for being the first to tackle the city's crime problem in decades. Again I lived through the worst of it (87-91 Koch/Dinkins) when homicides never dipped below 2,200. Most of that violence was crack-driven. Oh, wait, sorry I'm wrong. It was the guns. They just walked down the street by themselves and shot people. But Rudy confronted the crack gangs head on and in his eight years in office, had reduced the city's homicide rate by 330% - from nearly 2.000 to just under 600. If things continue trending the way they are, and with prosecutors unwilling to prosecute, the five boroughs will again see numbers like we had in the 90s. Not exactly the kind of nostalgia we hope for.
The top 20 most dangerous cities in America are all under the rule of one particular party. If you guessed "Whig," you'd be wrong. LOL.
The largest cities are all Democratic as voters know Republicans are limited to governing barren land. Of course they will all be Democratic cities. What’s the largest Republican city, Jacksonville? Which doesn’t even make the top 10 largest. Republicans only represent two in the top 20.
Is that crime coming from the red voting counties or blue. Nice try blending the lines to serve your failed agenda.
I'd just like a nice middle ground between cop worshipping and some sort of mad max situation. I live around Lubbock Texas, and boy do they love cops here. I can't speak for every Republican city, but we have a problem here with crime, and we are VERY Republican. https://www.kcbd.com/2021/08/13/lubbock-ranked-third-most-dangerous-city-us-2021/ Lubbock ranked as third most dangerous city in the U.S. for 2021
Good! I’d rather the party controlled Hundreds of cities pop. 10,000 to 100,000 than the other 18 of the top 20.
You realize we have political control over such rural to small city America even in the bluest of blue states? There are three such small cities in my Ca. county alone and the county itself is conservative governed.
