Each bag brings rainbow-colored chips inside and an inspiring quote on the outside.................. About the activist group The It Gets Better Project was created to show young LGBT people the levels of happiness, potential, and positivity their lives will reach Will you make a special trip to head out and get a bag of Doritos with the gay pride on it? Do you think that a food product should be endorsing a particular type of sexual lifestyle choice?
Hey look at that, pushing Gay down peoples throats once more...literally. Just like BK with their Proud Whopper crap. Luckilly, like fast food outlets there is no shortage of chips if you have to have them.
Gays are being exploited for profit and libs say nothing because nothing says "proud to be gay" like a bag of chips after puffing on Colorado's finest.
I think it's stupid... Because I haven't gotten a straight pride chip. But they're free to do what they want. I do like Doritos, and as they are free to support whatever weird agenda they have, I am free to support (or not) whatever companies I want.
I don't see how a company marketing their product to a specific group is "pushing it down people's throats". It is done all the time. Do you feel that General Mills is pushing sports down people's throats by having picture of sports celebrities on their box of Wheaties? Bottom line, if you do not like it, don't buy it. If you do not agree with a companies marketing techniques, don't buy products from that company.
As long as they don't mess with the formula for the Nacho Cheese flavor, I will still buy them from time to time.
lol, talk about not understanding your customer base. Are social justice warrior types going to eat Doritos in the first place?
does eating said chips magically correct the disproportionately high percentage of people who contract AIDs? Or is it just a feelgood measure to try and cash in on a niche market like big tobacco does when they target African-Americans? - - - Updated - - - I'm sure this gay guy has eaten a few doritos in his day..... they aren't all 5% body fat supermodel guys like they stereotype says.
They should. That's bad business to not cry over it. Don't really know who eats that crap anyway, but catering to one divisive group when there is no real need? Not good business.
Dude, nothing cures the munchies like a family size bag of Nacho Doritos after smokin a couple of fatties...
I can't tell if you are being fecitious or not (and my spellcheck just threw up the white flag when I attempted to spell check "fecetious" lol) but what are you asking
It's a free country;they can endorse whomever they like. FYI:Sexual orientation is not a "lifestyle" nor is it a choice.
Yah, my spell check laughed at me the other day over that word. I just typed out sarcastic. Do you really think more blacks smoke? Thats a new on me. I've never thought to put a number to it. - - - Updated - - - Oh lord. You've stepped in it now. Watch what happens.
LOL. No I won't be going out and buying a bag. Nor do I care enough to start a thread about packaging. LOL.
I'd say it's good marketing strategy. Not only will this give the company a ton more publicity, but on top of that people will buy them to add on to their feel good trendiness. Capitalizing on other people without having to pay them, it's actually genius.
oh, ok.... they were being targetted by big tobacco. I'm also afriad we are about to get into the same old more black prisoners vs higher percentages of blacks type of argument. http://peoplesworld.org/big-tobacco-targets-minority-youth/ I'm just saying big tobacco targetted a niche group.... african americans Doritos are targetting the gay audience now. - - - Updated - - - because you need to be seen supporting feelgood causes. Maybe if Doritos donated xx% of the sales towards AIDs research and prevention education programs.....that would be one thing.... but they aren't.... they are simply trying to cash in on people that want to be pious about causes.
