"The Coptic Church also criticized the way in which the crisis is reported outside of Egypt. It expressly speaks of 'false broadcast by Western media," and urges for an 'objective' revision to be made of the descriptions given to the actions of those 'blood-thirsty radical organizations.'" No chance of that as long as the Western media is filled with cheerleaders for the Muslim Brotherhood such as the "journalists" Bob Smietana, Niraj Warikoo, Kari Huus, Christiane Amanpour, and so very many others.

"Coptic Pope Blasts Muslim Brotherhood, US, EU," by Mary Abdelmassih for AINA, August 18:

(AINA) -- Since ex-president Morsy's ouster on July 3, attacks on Egyptian Christians by members of the Muslim Brotherhood have taken place in most governorates across Egypt. These attacks have escalated since security forces ended the pro-Morsy protests in central Cairo on August 14th. During their 6-weeks of protests, Muslim Brotherhood leaders explicitly threatened to harm the Copts should they be forced to end their protests, which they vowed to prolong until Morsy is restored to power.
"Over the past weeks we have witnessed an increasing trend of anti-Christian rhetoric calling for 'the attack upon and eradication of Christians and churches' in Egypt," said Coptic Bishop Anba in the United Kingdom. "The result of such incitement, at least in part, has been the unprecedented attack on fifty two churches and numerous Christian homes and businesses across eight governorates in Egypt, within the space of twenty four hours."

Yesterday Dr. Naguib Gabriel, President of Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organization, said "82 churches, many of which were from the 5th century, were attacked by pro-Morsy supporters in just two days."

Coptic Pope Tawadros II issued a statement yesterday expressing his views on the violence which engulfed Egypt, accusing the Muslim Brotherhood of fomenting sectarian clashes.

The Pope said the Church is on "the side of Egyptian law, the armed forces and all the Egyptian civil institutions when it comes to confronting violent armed organizations and terrorizing forces, either within the country or from abroad." The Pope pointed out that one should look beyond the squares where the Muslim Brotherhood have been holding their protests, in order to gain a general overview of what has been happening for weeks in Egypt. "The attacks on government buildings and peaceful churches terrorize everyone, whether they be Copts or Muslims. These actions go against any religion, any moral code and any sense of humanity."

The Coptic Church also criticized the way in which the crisis is reported outside of Egypt. It expressly speaks of "false broadcast by Western media," and urges for an "objective" revision to be made of the descriptions given to the actions of those "blood-thirsty radical organizations." The Coptic Orthodox Church says that "instead of legitimizing them with global support and political coverage while they are trying to wreak havoc and destruction upon our beloved land, report all events truthfully and accurately."

Pope Tawadros reaffirmed his support for "national unity" and rejected any form of "international interference in our internal affairs."

The Pope is at the top of the Islamists' assassination list.

The views of the Coptic church are also held by Copts in general, who are angry with the US and EU powers, "who almost daily issue statements threatening to take further actions against our interim government and army, portraying the Muslim Brotherhood as victims while not even mentioning the destruction of over 80 churches, as well monasteries, orphanages, businesses and Coptic schools by the Muslim Brotherhood," says Coptic activist Wagih Yacoub who believes that this western attitude emboldens them to carry out further violence. "To add insult to injury the Muslim Brotherhood this week hoisted the black Al-Qaida flag on top of St. George's church in Sohag. Three churches were turned into mosques in Minya and Friday prayers were held inside them."

Only if they were Catholics, and only by France. The Russians were the ones that fought the Turks, and the British were the ones who helped the Turks to keep the sublime porte out of Russian hands. :wall:

I can't understand Pope Tawedros. When the Copts were told by President Obama not to join the protestors, they became furious over being denied equal rights of protest with other Egyptians. So instead of keeping a low profile when Morsi was ousted, the Pope joined an Iman on TV saying they backed the military takeover.

    Suicidal, or simply crazy?

The Coptics have to get the military to supply them with arms and training so they can protect themselves and Egypt Swiss style. View attachment 21876

They also have to know that the USA is under the Talmudic Noahide laws that require Christians to be killed, as the USA did or is doing in Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Rhawanda, and other countries.

One reason they are not killing Christians outright in the USA is because:
    1, They want to maintain a nice image for the time being;
    2. Most US Christians are so Talmudized that they are Christian in name only;
    3. They don't want to wake them up till its too late for the Christians to escape?
    4. They are afraid to confront unknown forces in the USA over rounding up the Christians?

I don't think it was hard for them to figure out where things were headed with Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. At least this way they have a chance even if it is painful and tragic in the short term.

Thanks, Swede, for the cool statement you posted and for the good laugh I got from it.
A good Swedish rifle design the Copts ought to adopt is the Egyptian 8 mm Hakim. (Wise Man)

What a load of BS, only rabid anti-Semite conspiracy theorists could possibly think that this passage from an education bill: Whereas Congress recognizes the historical tradition of ethical values and principles which are the basis of civilized society and upon which our great Nation was founded; Whereas these ethical values and principles have been the bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization, when they were known as the Seven Noahide Laws,] somehow makes U.S. statutory or Constitutional law subservient to the Noahide laws, these are the ramblings of the truly delusional, recognizing the 7 Noahide laws for their historical significance and impact on the evolution of Western Jurisprudence is no different from recognizing the 10 Commandments

That the USA recognizes the Talmud as being the "bedrock of society from the dawn of civilization" shows how anti-Christ the USA has become.

Among the things that the "bedrock of" Talmudic "society" promotes is rejection of the Law of Moses that requires 2-3 witnesses, faithful to the truth, to convict anyone of a crime.

Thus America has come under Christ's condemnation for not believing in Moses, the Prophets or even Christ.

Congress and the Senate, who routinely pass laws they don't even bother to read, are saying that the basis for America is the Talmud.

According to these guys we have a "responsibility" to support Talmudic doctrines....responsibility is a liability and a requirement.

So slaughtering Christians in Iraq, Waco, Libya, Yugoslavia and Syria is an "appropriate" ceremony and activity to honor this Talmudic holy day over and over again.

Accepting and declaring that the Anti-Christ Noahide laws is the foundation for your country makes that country to be an anti-Christ country.

The Noahide Laws require that Christians be killed. They haven't done it on a mass scale here, but they have been doing it in other countries.
They starved to death over 500,000 Iraqi children and say, It was worth it.

The delusional people are those who refuse to see what Congress did and refuse to see how US policy is following the Noahide laws, unless they are of those who want us to be an Anti-Christ nation.

Christ, the Savior of all who honestly come to Him, warned us against the "Leaven of the Pharisees that makes the Word of God of none effect." Matthew 7:13

There is nothing good for genuine civilization in the doctrines of the Pharisees. Recognizing the Noahide Laws as something good is like saying the 10 Commandments (Rights of Man), and the Weightier Matters of the Law, Truth, Mercy and Faith are evil.

The point I was trying to make was that the Copts should have kept a low profile until the new government was well established. As we well know, it doesn't take much to arouse Muslim anti Christian 'passions'.:steamed:

I think you might be underestimating the Muslim Brotherhood. I think the new government is going to need all the help it can get to become established, and if anything the copts (and anybody in Egypt that doesn't want a theocratic takeover) should take it up a notch and spend on some PR and lobbying in the US and EU.

There has been lobbying, otherwise I don't think Obama would have warned the Copts not to get involved, but look when it comes to our government, it is more concerned about pleasing Saudi Arabia, so it is directly supporting the military takeover. Notice how quiet our liberal press is over the sufferings not only of the Copts, but of all Christians in the Middle East? Yet the same Clinton State Department had the Albanian Muslims in Kosovo shown on CNN being ethnically cleansed from Kosovo. Later on it turned out CNN was paying them five dollars for each time they were seen on camera exiting Kosovo. As for the supposed genocide Clinton bombed Serbia for, not one single mass grave was ever found.

And as for the Brotherhood, they won't be stopped as long this new government is against Turkey's interests. Erdogan has geared them to keep on fighting from day one.
