    Wonder if there is a federal grand jury over the mail fraud and terrorism.

    Oh and heard an attorney say the locals my not be done. He scratched his own face to create phony evidence. That could be obstruction of justice.

    He committed crimes, he deserves jail time. He also deserves the full penalty of a hate crime, which he won't get because of black privilege...

    Read an article on WAPO today..... They are still using words like "if" or "unproven"... as if somehow the arrest hasn't happened, and the truth won't ever get out. The comments section is filled with liberal panty wastes supporting Jussie for his indignaties and injuries... It's disgusting.

    Philosophically, I'm torn. I want to get rid of the hate crimes category period, as nothing more than ridiculing law enforcement and giving the suggestion that some victims are more 'special' or more 'important' than other victims of rape, murder, kidnapping, etc. And yet at the same time, Smollet definitely acted out of the hatred of white people, specifically white Trump supporters. So it actually fits.

    I disagree with hate crimes on so many levels. But so long as they exist, they must be applied equally to the offense, not the intent or lack thereof. Every single faked hate crime is a hate crime and should be punished as such, otherwise hate crimes really are nothing but thought policing...

    I don't believe there is a hate crime enhancement for filing a false police report or disorderly conduct. Those enhancements usually come with assault type crimes. With that said, what he did, by taking away police personal from actual crimes in a high crime city, not to mention what could have happened in regards to innocent people being jailed, or a potential riot because of the political nature of his false report...which could have lead to violence, rioting, etc should not be overlooked.
