    Who says we know all of the facts? We know the important fact:
    1) Zimmerman admits to leaving his vehicle after being told not to pursue the kid
    2) Given the relative size of Zimmerman to the victim, there is no conceivable way that his use of deadly force was warranted

    The killer should be in jail, and should have been there since the killing, as everyone knows. Even Americans who kill people should be arrested and charged, surely, whether in Afghanistan of even the South? It is interesteing that right-wing Americans are almost all ignorant, mannerless yobs, but irrelevant to the question.

    This kid looks like he weighed a buck fifty at the most...was unarmed, and this Zimmerman guy is a full grown man, with a gun.

    What a frickken pu*sy. I hope they arrest him and send him to prison, where he'll get no respect (wink wink) for shooting an unarmed kid. Real men go toe to toe.

    Having said that...we don't know the facts, because the kid is dead, and no eyeball witnesses.

    The thing I'm outraged over is the shoddy police work after the incident. The cell phone, and lack of statements collected from witnesses.

    Neighborhood watch is (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid. If some (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) approached me and said I looked suspicious, I'd tell him to (*)(*)(*)(*) off. If he tried to restrain me in any way, I'd throw a fist at him. Florida law would let the neighborhood watch guy shoot me on the spot.

    im really curious how many righties would accept someone following them, and possibly attempting to detain them....

    under FL law could Trayvon have pulled out a gun and shot him for following....claiming he felt threatened?

    does anyone think righties would be ok with that? I know I wouldnt.

    If a madman is allowed officially to carry a gun and shoot someone because of fantasies in his head OBVIOUSLY, even to a rightist thicko, gun laws and cowboys' yellow-belliedness are relevant, surely?

    It's pretty amazing that battle lines on this are so clearly drawn. Right Wing poster defending Zimmerman, Left wing posters defending Trayvon.

    Im not sure I understand why this is, but its uncanny.

    Guess i am down the middle then i havent "defended" Zimmerman. I am waiting for the facts to come out. They seem to be changing daily. He should be in jail why they do this investigation.

    Its the media and TPTB, they are moving us to a state where we are willing to accept the destruction of the Constitution to get what we want--right or left.

    Righties will accept the dismantling if a Republican president says its important to fighting the war on terror (that killed less people in the last 20 years than lightening strikes).

    Lefties will accept it if it's to punish a bigot.

    The presumption of innocence is/was one of the greatest things about our legal system and should be protected. He shouldn't sit in jail while being investigated. He should only go to jail if there is an arraignment, a hearing, and a judge weighing the evidence and setting a bail too high for him to pay or bond himself out of.

    That is how it is supposed to work.
