GOP Biden impeachment witness sues Fox News co-host Tarlov

Tony Bobulinski, a former associate of Hunter Biden, filed a $30 million defamation lawsuit against Fox News host Jessica Tarlov over her comments about his legal fees, which she corrected a day later.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleged Tarlov “lied” last week when she initially claimed Bobulinski’s legal fees were paid by a Trump super PAC. Her comments were made during a discussion on Fox News’s “The Five” after Bobulinski testified before the House Oversight Committee for its impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

I suppose this isn't really news any more. A Faux anchor lying having become so routine. The only difference being the lie was so egregious it was soon taken back in the hope of not being sued for it. Oooooppps.

 

On right leaning Fox, Tarlov represents something you won't see on MSNBC - an opposing view.

 

So...how do you know she lied? Because Bobulinski said she did?

Is this same Bobulinski that said Biden committed RICO crimes?

I guess Bobulinski was lying then, but telling the truth now.

 

Well, she did retract her mistake and publicly correct the record the very next time she was on the air. I doubt Bobo The Clown has a case that can get to trial.

I don't think she's a Fox news anchor, maybe a contributor.

 

@Lee Atwater , now all of a suddeon Bobolinksi is an honest man? I recall many posts of yours where you imply he's full of it. Which is it man? Why do you people think you can change your narrative on a dime and expect not to be called out on it? WELL NOW YOU HAVE! So do we just believe this thing that he says or believe ALL of it?

That's a good point. She was on Bill Maher's show last week. She seems to be a centrist.

 

I went back and looked. I could not find anything even remotely referring to Bobulinski being "an honest man." Help me out ... where did you see that?

 

She was apparently on an opinion show when she said it, and corrected it a day later. IE: Mistake, not a lie. The lawsuit will go nowhere.

Not that what I said here matters. You'll keep to your story regardless. Too many people with closed minds now a days. Its why I'm posting less and less. Simply not worth the effort anymore.

 

Got one thing right in your post Lee .. Not news no more not for any of the mainstream ... the lie right from the get go is that its "News" --- Fox News .. CNN .. the Most Trusted source in "News" --- is all editorializing ... which is .. by definition .. "Rule Number 1 of Journalism School" "Thou Shalt not Editorialize" and the lies .. CNN did not used to be as bad as MSNBC but now .. just a state sponsored propaganda mouthpiece .. part of the Big lie you missed when focusing on the little white ones .. heh .. ...Sad the day that CNN were lying just as much or more than Fox .. certainly more since Trump came to power .. That man caused the Blue Press to self destruct ..

and the NY-Times .. lies so egregious -- we all remember the war in Iraq .. crimes which were eventually apologized .. War in Syria was far worse .. never taken anything back as far as I know .. Lie-o-rama .. and things gone downhill mostly from there over the Times.

So .. should have just stopped at "Supposed there ain't really no news no more" .. least not in the mainstream .. and those all worried about Cancel Culture suing them for any old thing .. any offense lie - not lie - half truth .. if it offends the mainstream pablum narrative .. Cancel it ! ends justify the means .. give no quarter...

The Hill article refers to her as a "host." I have no idea what she hosts as I do not watch Faux. The correction, described as "half-hearted and incomplete," only came after it was requested by Bobulinski's attorney. Tarlov's remarks follow a pattern of disinformation Faux has a well earned reputation for spewing.

 

"Left and Right" is why that story is posted here in the first place and the reason you are replying to me about it.

 

Makes no difference if she's left , right, center, up, down... It's just another example to show that the CULTURE most prevalent on Fox is that facts are optional.

There are mistakes on ANY network. But the fact that, on Fox, erroneous information is as prevalent (maybe more) than facts clearly exposes the culture.

 

They made a correction within twenty four hours.

 

If she's a liberal, like the poster I responded to says, it would make sense that she made a correction. But the point is that there is clearly no requirement on Fox to research facts. Again: this is something that might happen (and has happened) on EVERY network. But the fact that being wrong is a daily occurrence on Fox cannot be attributed to chance.

 

She made a mistake and corrected it in her first opportunity.

I challenge you to show us where it is a daily occurrence.

 

If YOU'RE interested, you can do that yourself. Just look for every instance in which somebody comes up with, for example, election denialism, or... any Trump conspiracy theory, and they are not rapidly debunked right on the spot. That's how they spread lies.

 

Well I suppose I can expect an on air apology for the fine people hoax from all the other networks any day now, right?

 

ANY day they make a mistake due to poor research.
