The legal aspects of it all are pretty fascinating. Anyone else think the government stance is weak? After all the SCOTUS has ruled there IS a difference between sex and gender. To me it seems that the folks upset with North Carolina are totally misdirected. If any change is to come, Washington is going to have to re-examine the civil rights laws.
Actually, it is also incumbent upon the various states to make greater strides in keeping bigotry and discrimination out of its laws. America has been through this so many times; and now, it's time to learn.

Separate bathrooms for men and women isn't bigotry and discrimination. That's just what the Fed has to characterize the policy as to support any argument that such a policy violates the constitution. Much like what has happened with marriage. Marriage limited to men and women because only men and women procreate, is perfectly constitutional. It was marriage limited to men and women because the majority hates gays that was determined to be unconstitutional.
When it comes to the differing designs for men and womens bathrooms, the penis is the only distinguishing feature.
