I would rather have my cops and plumbers be smarter, they tend to be better at their job.... just me?
there are plenty of boards where you can post drivel like this and all replies will be praise from comrades as vacuous as yourself. plumbers? mechanics? indeed! have you hired a plumber lately? i did. then i got tired of his thoughtless 1/2 assed bullshit and fixed it myself.
I really could care less if my cops or plumbers have a degree in say psychology..... I'd rather my plumber have gone to school for you know plumbing
yes, of course, is that not what I said, that is part of intelligence, knowing your stuff, regardless the field you're in when I call a plumber, I want them to be experts, same with cops
Speaking of cops they must be bored around here tonight. I passed one on my way to work who was sitting off the road by the stop sign I stopped at and signal my turn at..... Then for whatever reason she followed me down the highway, and pulls me over for speeding.... I may have been going five or seven miles an hour over. I got off with a warning though, but she put some other person's middle name on my warning ticket because that's not me. I figure they must be bored because she had absolutely zero reason to follow after me.
if everyone followed every traffic laws, they would need to create new laws to keep that money coming in
Many, most maybe, of today's young men were raised by single, feminist mothers. They were taught to be gentle, kind, emotional, and be able to verbalize their feelings. And apparently they bawl all the time. A young female friend told me her husband cries about everything. I've been married almost 40 years to a pretty well-adjusted guy and I've seen him cry twice, and once was when his father died. Consequently, these mothers also raised strong, independent daughters so when the boys look for a mate, they choose one of those to take care of them.
As opposed to back when men wore wigs and tights? Men have a long history of engaging with fashion. It's nothing new. Just like the fashion trend in rural America is round, pokey bearded, and dressed like you were working on a tractor (don't tell me it's not a look, it is because most of them don't have tractors), men in cities are often dressed as people have always dressed in cities. Also, the idea that somehow Arab men are more masculine is based on what exactly? There are no valid thoughts on the original post because it was made without thought, rather, it was posted from a point of irrational fear.
Hey that's a nice stereotype you got there! Is there a particular type of clothing one wears when working on a tractor? Most rural men tend to make a living working with their hands. So work clothes are to be expected
I figured this was a safe place for them given my read of the thread. Yes, the kind you don't mind getting dirty from working on a tractor. I don't know for sure, I don't work on tractors, I just know what I've seen of others who actually own/owned tractors. Now who's engaging in stereotypes. How ironic. All humans work with their hands. How did you type that message? I supposed voice to text is an option, but I doubt you used that. Moreover, I bet there are MORE plumbers, electricians, mechanics, and all sorts of blue-collar workers in cities than in rural America. In fact, I would say more Americans in urban America work with their hands than in rural America by the numbers easily if not also by percentage. The point is simple. Men, like women, employ fashion to say something about themselves. I'm currently wearing soft cargo pants and an Eddie Bauer t-shirt that says I like to be comfortable no matter how much like a dad I look like. If someone from rural America wishes to dress in a manner that expresses themself, great. You won't hear me care one bit. But clearly when men don't dress the way the OP or perhaps even yourself feel they should, you have a problem with it and then make up problem to convince people that you're right. I say, let people dress how they want. It's America, right? Freedom and all that? It doesn't mean, do it my way or else you're destroying my country, just so you know.
Oh wow a straw man! Am I supposed to argue it now or is it later maybe? And it's not a stereotype to say men who work with their hands or you know people who do labor type of work wear work clothes. Now usually mechanics will wear something in I like maybe some Dickies pants or some overalls or something but I'm not too sure that I've ever seen any particular clothes that when I looked I was like oh those are clothes you work on a tractor with.
It's far more than wigs and tights and dress apparel. My wife couldn't keep me from laughing in his face......my waiter that is, who pursed his lips when talking, flipped his wrist around while describing the kitchen situation, sashayed when he walked, and wore his hair down over one eye. They feel free to act like this in the big cities because people are too P.C. to laugh out loud!
Good point, why I just cooked our own steaks.... shower time....hard to reach your back alone. Later man!
