If he is pocketing millions at our expense, I hope he is arrested and thrown in jail

And, exactly how is he pocketing millions? He's donating his salary. His business interests have been placed in the control of others.
Unlike Hillary, his spouse isn't our making speeches to people expecting political favors and collecting millions for it.
I'm wondering where you see all those millions?
Or is that just a speculative statment?

not this crap about his salary again! He doubled the golf club subscription costs on his day of becoming President from $100,000 per year year to $200,000 per year. $100,000 increased income from every member! Just an extra 2 new members will be paying more than his salary, plus the additional amount these members will be spending at his golf course. The more times Trump visits his golf courses, the more new members will sign up hoping to see him at the golf club. How many times does he visit rival golf clubs

1- And so, you assume that all those paying the higher rate are taxpayers- and he is getting their money.
One- those same high-end taxpayers are carrying your tax load too, unless you are in the top 1%.
Ordinary taxpayers aren't putting up a dime of it. YOU certainly aren't paying a dime of it.
And- it's not personal income to Trump. It goes to the corporation that owns the golf course.

2- That is a business, has nothing to do with government other than it too pays taxes- and if it's income increases, so do it's taxes. The fact that Trump owns the business does not mean he gets all or any of an increase in revenue; and in this case the control over his business was given to others during his term. You don't even know if the irrelevant allegation was even a decision Trump made.

You have to get beyond your bias in order to have a perspective that has any validity, any credibility at all. If you can't do that,. you don't

He, unlike every other president in history, has NOT divested himself of the Trump businesses.
Doesn't it bother you the tiniest bit that on the day he drops an embargo of a Chinese corporation that used unfair business practices against American industry, that the Chinese government drops $500 million into a project in which a Trump Hotel and golf course are a major part?
If it doesn't, then I've got this bridge for sale which I'll give you real cheap. It runs between NY and NJ and is a real money maker.

Though I sincerely believe he will be impeached and tried for a number of crimes against the American people, I'm just as sure that Pense will pardon him. It will then be up to the American people to sue him in civil court for redress, just as was done after the farcical OJ trial.

The left is corrupt. The vast majority of politicians are corrupt. Nobody's perfect, and there is nobody that can't be tainted by hateful people.
To divest is to give away, sell off. Why should he? That is a dumb concept, except where direct conflict of interest exists- and historically, placing any interests in trust and removing yourself from control has been adequate action.

Trump hate is either a fad or a disease, or both. And it's not really about Trump- it's far bigger, deeper and sicker than that. Never seen so many people who still call themselves Americans who are so anxious to abuse others and trash the country.

That's all well and good, but so far, I have not seen any concrete evidence that proves Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors against the USA. There is certainly evidence that he surrounded himself with some pretty shady guys and indications that Trump MAY be involved. That said, I will wait to see what evidence Mueller's investigation turns up.

And, what makes you think there will be profits? They are not automatic, and it may well be that the security requirements made by government for any place the president uses could have cost a great deal. Don't speculate about things you have no practical knowledge of.

The average person knows diddly about business, and just assumes it's luck, inheritance or money they would have if the rich didn't. This is pure ignorance of how things work.
    5 year old adolescent logic.

All security is paid for by the tax payer and this security is taking place on properties that he owns and charges the tax payers for the privilege. Accommodation and food costs for security staying in his own hotel is charged to the taxpayer. And the following actions will certainly increase profits:
He doubled the golf club subscription costs on his day of becoming President from $100,000 per year year to $200,000 per year. $100,000 increased income from every member! Just an extra 2 new members will be paying more than his forfeited salary, plus the additional amount these members will be spending at his golf course. The more times Trump visits his golf courses, the more new members will sign up hoping to see him at the golf club.

Over the last few months I've been trying to understand the psychological factors that drive the liberal mindset. One of the fascinating phenomena is multiplicity in using variable parameters for similar circumstances. That means having a number of mental rulers that all have different graduations on hand, and actually being able to think using whichever one suits their objective at the moment. Fascinating, but scary.

You are able to bridge the gap between the office of president and a raise in a membership fee at a golf club, and see some kind of evil abuse of office, and common sense logic doesn't phase it at all. I'll add that to my notes.

    Butter-
I am working on just that. I've always been fascinated by the mental gymnastics, the configurations and contortions that allow people to lose track of reality like a corrupted GPS device that in some cases may tell you to turn left off the cliff- and why some people actually follow the instructions when it does that.

I think I'm beginning to get a grasp on the nature of this as it applies to left-think. I don't mean understand it as logical as I don't believe that to be possible; just to identify the pathology so to speak. I'm thinking it's like a building whose foundation was laid on unstable ground, never laid solidly, nor soundly or squarely, and everything above it is crooked and reflects the underlying defects and weaknesses- but the foundation is hidden from sight. In that respect, it is comparable to a disease where the symptoms are obvious and troublesome, but the cause is hidden deep inside. There is no cure for the aggravation of the symptoms, because they are the manifestation, not the actual cause.

One of these days, I'll probably post something more definitive for others who may want to get a handle on it.

Sadly, anything like this would be instantly rejected and scoffed at by the left-thinkers; not fooling myself into thinking otherwise.
The purpose would be to give others trying to understand the disconnects in left-logic a better picture of the mechanics involved.

This country is but a shadow of it's former self. That can most clearly be seen by the fact that the president of it is much more interested in his own welfare than the country's. It is hard to be patriotic to a country which can put a man like Trump in office, and then sit back quietly while his agenda to "deconstructing the government" progresses at full speed.
Didn't those of you who wanted Trump in office do so to end the corruption ("drain the swamp"), not expand it to proportions unimaginable just a few short years ago?

People who understand Trump know that those who don't will claim everything and anything to the opposite. Trump is not like any previous president, so it is a massive change- and that really upsets a lot of people. However, that does not mean he's not the right president, nor does not have the best interests of the nation as top priority. I think he does, but he is so direct and bold about change that it's not understood.

Bear something in mind- For decades, Americans have been bitching about the corruption and waste in government, of the botched programs, lousy planning and a few dozen more things. I would hope that those same people would realize that changing that is no something done with an executive order- it takes a tough, stubborn pit-bull attitude and a lot of guts to tackle that, not to mention putting up with the endless whining of the dems and left at the same time.

The man IS getting things changed- getting things done. As those build, they are getting harder and harder to deny and ignore, despite the endless whine. Objecting to allow him to do his job is like refusing to hire the only doctor who can save your life, because you don't like his bedside manner and the way he wears his hair.

He's different- and it's about time someone in that position was. He couldn't do much worse that what we've had, and so far, he's vastly ahead of them.

With the stated intention to "deconstruct" the American government, how can you still support him? That's like throwing the baby out with the bath water.
The only thing he is really getting done is lining his pockets and those of his already massively rich cronies, at the expense of the American people. He is allowing pollution on a scale not seen since the 50's so that his buddies can make all that much more money. Exactly what are you going to say when the next "love canal" incident happens in your neighborhood? "Oops"?

Anytime somebody comes up with the "blame the rich for being rich" argument- I know they don't know jack. If you can convince yourself that the people in small minority who are already paying most of the bills while a large share of Americans sit back and ride are the evil culprits, you lack the capacity to see things as they are, or the character to admit you do. Credibility of such people's opinion falls to zero. Your argument is that of a person lacking an understanding of economics and finance- or one thinking success is luck or inheritance and they didn't get their fair share.

I have not read any comment saying he intends to "deconstruct" the government, but that may have been said. For decades, the public has been bitching about the miserable job government does, the failed programs, the patch instead of fix philosophy and all the waster. So now you are saying everything was ducky and he shouldn't go about re-constructing the operations to get rid of that? You can't have both. And you aren't going to fix the entrenched network of corruption without disassembling it.
It's not throwing out the baby- it's changing the filthy water that the public has bitched about but settled for over decades, so the baby can actually get a clean deal.
I'll be surprised if he can get it done, since so many seem to think we should continue to tolerate corruption rather than fix it. No matter how bad things are, many who demand things get better want the change to change nothing along the way; to not inconvenience them or require anything from them. Weak people are on the increase, and that is bad for America.

White House can’t explain how Chinese financing of Drumpf-linked project doesn’t violate Constitution

    https://thinkprogress.org/white-hou...mp-project-violate-constitution-76456a21225a/

Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah cannot explain how the Trump Organization’s involvement in a project in Indonesia partially financed by the Chinese government adheres to the Constitution’s emoluments clause and Trump’s personal promise not to pursue new foreign business deals while he’s president.

“The Trump Organization is involved in a project in Indonesia building hotels, golf courses, residences — it is getting up to $500 million in backing from the Chinese government,” Noah Bierman of the Los Angeles Times said during Monday’s press briefing. “Can you explain the administration’s position on A, how this doesn’t violate the emoluments clause; and B, how this wouldn’t violate the president’s own promise that his private organization would not be getting involved in new foreign deals while he was president?”

Shah didn’t even attempt to answer Bierman’s question. “I’ll have to refer you to the Trump Organization,” he said.

Bierman pushed back, pointing out to Shah that “the Trump Organization can’t speak on behalf of the president as the president — the head of the federal government, the one who is responsible, who needs to assure the American people, and they don’t have that responsibility.”

    But Shah wouldn’t budge.

“You’re asking about a private organization’s dealings that may have to do with a foreign government. It’s not something I can speak to,” he said, before calling on another reporter.

China’s Approval Of 13 Ivanka Drumpf Trademarks Raises Brows At WH

    https://talkingpointsmemo.com/world-news/china-approves-13-ivanka-trump-trademarks

SHANGHAI (AP) — Ivanka Drumpf’s brand continues to win foreign trademarks in China and the Philippines, adding to questions about conflicts of interest at the White House, The Associated Press has found.

On Sunday, China granted the First Daughter’s company final approval for its 13th trademark in the last three months, trademark office records show. Over the same period, the Chinese government has granted Ivanka Drumpf’s company provisional approval for another eight trademarks, which can be finalized if no objections are raised during a three-month comment period.

Taken together, the trademarks could allow her brand to market a lifetime’s worth of products in China, from baby blankets to coffins, and a host of things in between, including perfume, make-up, bowls, mirrors, furniture, books, coffee, chocolate and honey. Ivanka Drumpf stepped back from management of her brand and placed its assets in a family-run trust, but she continues to profit from the business.

Noah Bookbinder, the executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said on Twitter that the recent approvals create “more conflicts of interest and more potential for using the White House for self-enrichment.” His government watchdog group was behind one of several lawsuits against President Donald Drumpf for violations of the emoluments clause of the constitution, which bars officials from accepting gifts from foreign states unless they are approved by Congress.
