    I lived in Tampa for 16 years before moving to the sticks for the last decade give me the sticks any day.

    So how come biden's supporters are not blaming all the deaths on him like they did on Trump is there a double standard at Play?

    Just in case anyone needs me to say it that was a rhetorical question by the way

    I've been around, but I haven't seen what you claim. They blamed ALL deaths on Trump?

    I can't speak for other people, especially when I dont even know what you are referring to. Why don't you ask the people you are referring to?

    It would help if you can dig up some posts where people blame all the deaths on him.

    Or don't, - I don't care, just don't ask me about something someone else presumably said in the distant past.

    Are you changing the topic because Florida reported nearly 78 000 new cases and 90 deaths?

    Do you also want me to prove that people around here don't like Trump?

    You can't seriously be asking me to prove that people around here were blaming covid deaths on Trump get real.

    That's a little game on forums I like to call chasing your tail.

    As to all those deaths if you're afraid move out of Florida.

    The same exact series of roads that bought you south of the Georgia line can still take you back across it

    I am only asking for one thing.

    Florida COVID update: State sees the lar
    Florida on Thursday reported 77,848 additional COVID-19 cases and 90 more deaths to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to Miami Herald calculations of CDC data.
    Read more at: https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article256942417.html#storylink=cpy
    .
    .
    The large increase comes from the CDC backlogging cases and deaths for Florida on Mondays and Thursdays, when multiple days in the past had their totals changed.

    In August, Florida began reporting cases by the “case date” rather than the date the case was logged into the system, resulting in a number of cases back-filling over time.

    As explained by Pro-line, since August 2021, Florida’s DoH previous week/weeks Covid deaths have been published on Mondays and Thursdays.

    Anticipated response from Non-critical thinkers; “Wow! Last Tuesday, Florida health reported ZERO Covid deaths”

    For your info, the important details I’ve been patiently waiting for are Omicron’s percent of Hospitalized patients on ventilators and in ICUs, and then, Omicron’s In-Hospital Mortality Rate, AND it is best to compare Original Covid and its Variant’s rates and percentages at their peaks.

    Thus, at this stage, Omicron’s 7-Day Daily Averages, and number of Currently hospitalized do not reveal its true severity.

    Also, in reference to Florida’s Excess Mortality, both Covid/Non-Covid, and your age-adjusted comparisons.......a fair comparison technique I must say, I’m assuming you’ve carefully analyzed JAMANetwork’s data and other related sources, however, I prefer to wait for Florida’s 2020 Vital/FINAL statistics before I give my 2 cents.

    In addition, early in the pandemic, it was a common practice for hospitals across this nation to release “still Covid positive” Nursing Home Residents, however, to my knowledge, and among all Red/Blue states, Florida took an early lead in rectifying said “questionable” practice.

    So what? Positive tests are not medical cases.

    Repubs accuse Dems of a double standard
    Dems accuse Repubs of a double standard

    Partisan manure!

    BTW......”We, The People” are also responsible for x number of Covid deaths.

    Did someone say they are? Massive numbers of positive cases shows how contagious this variant is. Fortunately it is milder which should translate to a smaller percentage of deaths. However, even if the percentage is smaller, the total death count can still be significant due to large number of infections.

    Florida COVID update: 56,865 new cases added to toll, hospitalizations continue rising
    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article256982072.html
    COVID-19 HOSPITALIZATIONS IN FLORIDA There were 5,215 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in Florida, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Saturday report. This data is reported from 260 Florida hospitals.

    Omicron’s main negative factor for your state will be ICU admissions due to a very high percentage of elderly/cormorbidities,

    In fact, since last week, Covid ICU admissions have risen by approx 2%. Source; FHA

    Also, Hospitalization data from other countries reveals that most Omicron patients have recovered/are recovering without the need of ventilators.

    ————-

    Now. in reference to making comparisons, I stopped comparing States and States/U.S. and other nation’s Covid statistics many months ago, and for what purpose, political or just science? Well, in this forum, mainly political, and politically, States and international comparisons are rationally incomparable, and they’ve often opened up a can of worms, for example;

    I recently asked a poster the following question;

    How come Canada’s number of Covid deaths per 1M pop is currently at 773, and in the U.S., 2,504?

    His first response; Well, obviously, Canada’s population density, thus, their 10.2 versus our 92.9 citizens per square mile

    My response; Really? Then please explain why South Dakota’s number of Covid deaths per 1M pop is currently at 2,800, and considering the fact that SD’s population density equates to 10.4 citizens per square mile?......Huuuuuuummm, am I opening up a can of worms?

    ————-

    My response to the following question; “How come you folks aren’t comparing Florida and California instead of bashing DeSantis Covid policies, and his Delta stats?”

    In reference to Florida, I’ve been comparing Florida and Florida, and prior Omicron becoming the dominant strain, DeSantis Original Covid pandemic VERSUS DeSantis Delta Variant pandemic, and I’ve already explained my rationale.

    —————

    Last, since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve consistently been a KKKK strategist, thus;

    1. Keep working
    2. Keep wearing masks
    3. Keep your distance
    4. Keep gatherings to a minimum

    .......and I created several threads that explains why said strategy is actually a CONSERVATIVE strategy, for example;

    Conservatives have long supported a strong national defense, thus, prior to the vaccines, what were our best defense/weapons against Covid?

    Answer; 2, 3, and 4

    162 in past week. Let's hope there won't be much more but hospitalizations are going up, and deaths typically follow.

    All in all Florida has lost 62 500 citizens to Covid.

    this component that thinks it's stupid arbitrary laws don't do anything?
    do you blame the government of Florida for the spread of a virus if you do then it absolutely is a political issue for you.

    Nothing any government does can control this. Viruses don't obey laws

    Many people say that positive tests are medical cases. That's how the fear merchants sell the harmful lockdowns.
