It's funny to see the libs' self-righteousness. Do they realize what the Kennedys did to women? Jack Kennedy used to brag that he was only done with a woman when he's had her "all three ways". Ted Kennedy killed a girl. And we know what Slick Willie did. O'Reilly is a saint compared to them.
Mannnn..... really sad news.Sad day. Sad all around. I just started watching FOX in 2016 during the election cycle - CNN was so biased against Trump I felt like throwing stuff at my TV sometimes. Then people I know say to try watching Fox, it's like night and day. When Megyn left and then we had Bill-Tucker-Hannity; it was like the trifecta of nightly commentators; they could keep doing that for another 5 years and we'd be good. It must really suck to live the high profile life - it only takes the court of public opinion to take down 20 years of legacy. Nobody on our side of the TV screen has all the facts of what happened; but so long as the the perception gets to a fever pitch then you're as good as guilty until proven innocent. No amount of settling the actual case will minimize the perception of the situation; and with liberal media pulling out all the stops to keep the narrative - it was only a matter of time until game over for Bill. Bill's gonna be missed for sure. Hard to imagine anyone else in that 8pm slot.... so I just hope FNC can find a good commentator to fill the space.
All the name calling in the world isn't going to change the fact that O'Reilly's show was the highest rated show on cable TV.
I'm sorry that he continues to get accused of this. I am sure all those uppity women are making it up. It's their fault that they don't want to **** him.
I'm sure you were just as quick to condemn Bill Clinton before knowing the evidence (of course you weren't) If O Reilly really committed sexual harassment, he should be punished. I'm glad people like you aren't in control of anything important where objective judgment and fair-mindedness are necessary.
So it was the libs at Fox News who fired Ailes and O'Reilly...Those who fired these two are gutless cowards...Ailes and O'Reilly built Fox News....Without those two Fox will fade into oblivion...
You are delusional. Denying science destroyed the cod industry, the lives tied to it, and the natural resource itself. The only idiotic stance here is the one that leads to short term profits and long term annihilation, like the stance you are endorsing. I didnt mention god.
Hmm I am not in charge and he still managed to get himself fired. Wonder how that happened? Go piss and moan to someone that matters.
If he did what they claim he should be let go. But, all we have are unfounded allegations. We have witnesses that said he conducted himself as nothing but a straight businessman, and others that make sexual harassment claims. It's crazy to end his career on such unfounded words. The Murdoch boys now running Fox have wanted him gone for a long time and this gave them a reason to do it.
I'd watch Dana Perino. Bright, articulate, knowledgeable. And a dog lover to boot. What's not to love? Even better. I agree. It remains to be seen if anything can be done to clean up the situation. Nothing on MSNBC or CNN can hold a candle to The O'Reilly Factor. Nothing. Bill O'Reilly will continue to put out best selling books. As you say, he'll do just fine. But it's a bit worrisome when someone like O'Reilly can be convicted in the court of public opinion. Still, he'll handle it properly, because he's a class act. Agreed. As I say, he'll continue to write his excellent books. I wonder how many of his crack staff he'll be taking with him. Gotta say, his people are top-shelf. As an independent, I couldn't agree more. Yeah. Don't hold your breath... Nobody is denying that the climate is changing. What they're denying is that human activity is to blame. I'm not sure why that's so difficult to understand... And for good reason. The show was solid. I'm going to miss it.
If this is the quality of Murdoch's decisions, Fox will die. Say what you will about Roger Ailes, but he knew what viewers tuned in for, and provided it. The Murdoch brothers do not possess that ability, unfortunately.
the gossip going around is that the murdoch brothers' wives are behind this. the old boy didn't support it. there's a petition set up to return him to the air for those interested: http://conservativefighters.com/bill-oreilly-petition/ This is a death: a death of one of the last outposts of true journalism. a death of critical thinking on television and everywhere else. a death of fox news. a death of no-nonsense, common sense a personal death of the voice that kept me calm and patient amidst the hair-on-fire screechers in the news and their slanted priorities of each news event
The decision is about money period.......Murdoch Group is also working on a deal in the UK and this is likely why they dropped him.
That's the part that's so amusing. O'Reilly was hardly a die in the wool conservative. His biggest threat to the left was his books which sold very well. I do love the hypocrisy on this. Letterman cheated on his wife with an intern, he admitted it, and not a single advertiser ran from him. I'm sure there are conservatives digging up dirt on popular left wing anchors right now and we will see how principled the fake outrage liberals here really are.
That's Bravo Sierra..... The real chattels are the women who work for Progressives, there they are paid less than men, used to bring the coffee and suffer endless innuendos of the sexual sort on a daily basis. The difference is that letterman is a dyed in the wool Progressive Liberal, just as his replacement Colbert is. The Left will protect people like this like mother bears, while Soros groups like Media Matters are unrelenting in their attacks on independents and the right. It's come to a point that people of the right cannot even look at women without fear of being accused of supposed micro-aggression.
After awhile they all start sounding like broken records; especially Hannity. I'd rather have seen him get the boot than O'Reilly, though admittedly, I've been watching mostly Lou Dobbs for the last year or so, and haven't watched O'Reilly in a long time. Tucker Carlson seems like a bit of a light weight, and Dana Perino has drifted too far to the left for me. For now, I think Eric Bolling is the natural fill-in for O'Reilly. He seems to be a pretty solid conservative with broad appeal and has a good professional demeanor. I like Lou Dobbs more, but he probably has a narrower appeal. For those who assign blame to the Soros left for being the force behind much of this chaos, that seems highly plausible to me as well.
I am not an O'Reilly fan, but Fox just gave in to a political class purge. The new chickens running Fox are disloyal and unreliable. Newsmax TV and America One News will get a big boost.
