You smell a victory over a stupid point, and like a dog chewing on its favorite toy refuse to let it go. I'll never give you the satisfaction of a concession and the reason why (even if I thought you were right) is because I brought up two references to make my point in post #104 (to another poster) and instead of addressing them, you went off on a tangent about it not being a parable. Not that I think you will, but until you address the substance of my post (#104) I'm fine leaving you the toy to chew on.

 

Good job presenting details to the discussion! It's easy for some people to focus on a single issue, like is it a parable or not, and ignore the core point of the message being relayed. -- which is; Is it wrong for God's ministers to be wealthy? I was addressing that point in post #104, not whether it was a parable. For some, they would rather engage in deflecting from a point raised, instead of simply just addressing it. Small and insignificant victories are pointless to advancing the substance of the discussion.

 

"No", riches do buy your way into heaven or "no" they do not? It's not easy to decipher your meaning through your laughter.

Selling the the parts of the book that fit your agenda ? The Bible literally tells us to kill a man who takes his name in vain, yet we should also “feed our fellow man “? Thats hedging your bets

Anyone who reads a book thats thousands of years old and full of fables written by man, and covets it as the word of a some “higher being” is themselves lost.
