I expect his policies to have a positive effect on america. So far his border policies were a disaster to the point he had to reinstate many of trumps policies. His social polices are a disaster as we have seen growing hate divide and segregation. His foreign policies were a disaster. His pullout from Afghanistan was a nightmare and likely gave incentive for Putin to make a move.

Have I mentioned we are closer to world war 3 then we've ever been since the Cuban missile crisis?

His sanctions on Russia have been lack luster at best and have only incentivized half the world into dumping American currency.

Inflation. A border that's a mess. We are close to nuclear holocaust. Socially divided as a direct result of his equity bullshit and his support of **** like CRT.

Literally nothing is good right now and the buck stops with him

    Sorry guy.

Autocracy means exclusion. And, you advocate for autocracy.

If you don't agree, post a case of autocracy that show the characteristics you want to see.

You can't pin those claims on Biden alone.

The US president does NOT have control of inflation. Period.

If you have a better foreign policy, they argue for that.

CRT is not a border policy. It IS a valid approach to understanding serious problems we face today.

Biden's pullout of Afghanistan was dictated by Trump, who negotiated the pullout with the Taliban and cut US forces to an absurdly low level - actions he took when he lost the election, purposefully setting up America for failure.

As I've detailed several times Biden was in full control of the pullout in Afghanistan. He had the option to pull out of trumps deal but elected to stay in it.

I'm not surprised I'm talking to a progressive who can't own up to the reality that their policies don't work. Look at California for Christ sakes.

Biden's been a disaster. And he's a pedophile. Add racist to that list since he can't stop coddling black people like they lack the ability of free thought or something.

Nearly half the country collects more from the government than they pay.

    Half.

But right right. It's the narrative of the wealthy.

Regarding elections.. the only thing the right has ever demanded is fairness. What Republicans support to protect the integrity of elections you call supression.

Because somebody getting a speeding ticket is not the same as a murderer. Lol.

The only person who would try to make those claims all criminals are equal obviously has an agenda.

Large numbers of troops had already been withdrawn when Biden took over. Plus, there is the question of whether an agreement negotiated with the US can simply be discarded when a new president takes over. While the US can pretty much do anything it wants, this goes to the value of making a deal with the USA. Does it actually mean spit to sign an agreement with the USA?

Plus, the idea that Biden could have immediately moved large numbers of troops back into Afghanistan is a joke. This would have been a huge change of course for our military, which was signed up to the Trump deal, obviously.

    California is doing VERY well.

Then, you just start making total BS accusations plus spewing your white supremacist hate.

No, the immediate actions in Houston prove that is absolutely false.

The actions to make states have the power to discard the ballots of the people is another case.

The garbage spewed concerning vote by mail is total bs, as vote by mail is more secure and more available to the populace that are polling places that people have to travel to.

The suppression comes in that these methodologies are selectively enacted with the purpose of limiting the votes of minorities and others who don't agree with the Republican agenda.

How can you claim voting by mail is safer than in person voting.

    That makes zero sense.

Trump still had a clause that the Taliban had to live up to certain obligations which they failed to do so which allowed Biden to have the opportunity to discard the deal he elected not to do that.

So Biden owns the pull out

There are a good number of states that have ONLY vote by mail.

The idea that vote by mail isn't secure is just plain BS.

    Nonsense.

Plus, Trump did a major pullout before Biden even got there.

What Trump left behind was a catastrophe.

Sheesh! Talk about calling the kettle black!
Some of the biggest differences between the left and the right:
    1) There are Republicans that break the law. They tend to be prosecuted to the extreme and often include cases that should have been thrown out of court. (You can indict someone without even referencing a statute that has been violated!?!?!? You can change the statute of limitations to make someone retro actively still within that window?
    2) Democrats are not. The FBI had the Hunter Biden laptop for 3 years and did nothing with it.
    3) Policy matters:
    a. Republicans want the law enforced.
    b. To the Democrats, they want selective prosecution. De-fund the police. Weaponize the rest of government.

FYI, Tara Reade, just defected to Russia. :)

Seems MAGAs pick the worst witnesses, or is that just a coincidence.

So... mailing out ballots (risk 1), simple signature on the ballot for verification (risk 2), the ballots mailed back in (risk 3), the ballots are recorded without voters present (risk 4).

How do you know all of the ballots reached the intended recipient? How do you know who filled out the ballot is actually the listed name on the ballot (really, a signature, that's it?), how do you know the postal service returned all the ballots to the polling place? How do you know the ballots were all counted in the absence of voters?

No duplicate ballots? No dead people submitting? No postal carriers that mis-handle or lose mail? No ballot workers that know how certain districts tend to vote?

To say there is not heightened risks is just ignoring reality.

Yes, these issues are all solved in many states, and have been for years.

Plus, the inadequacy of polling places as a method of democracy is demonstrated all across the nation.

Let's remember that EVERY STATE has a vote by mail system.

    The difference today is that:
    - many states have restrictions on using that system
    - some of the systems that exist need to implement known security measures.

In WA, I get mailed a ballot that is identified as mine and mine alone. If it doesn't arrive at the proper time, I can invalidate that ballot and get a new one with a new id, so the lost ballot is worthless, and if used is identified as criminal activity.

When I sign the exterior of the ballot, that signature is compared against my signature in the state registration database. If they don't compare, I get notified so I can fix the problem.

Once validated, the machine opens the ballot and my connection to that ballot is broken, so nobody knows how I voted. I get notified by email that my vote was counted.

You kind of ignored the part about the USPS

    https://www.npr.org/2020/11/05/9318...ce-continues-as-states-report-missing-ballots

Plus, how much scrutiny is going into signatures that are easily forged?

All of that is more risk than simply voting in person with an ID.

Anybody can see the risk is not equal..

Ballots from polling places have to be transported, too. And that has resulted in significant court cases when ballots are "lost". In fact, that was a motivating factor behind the change to vote by mail in Washington state.

The problem with stealing someone's ballot is they can simply void it and ask for another.

The ballot someone tried to use illegally is only a factor in tracking down the criminal.

Plus, no. Signatures are NOT easy to guess. And, trying to affect an election outcome by stealing ballots and trying to guess signatures is STUPID.

On the other hand, there is a long list of methods for diddling the results at polling stations. Many are blatant and trivially easy, and apply to large numbers of ballots.

    Who said guess signatures?

I could absolutely replicate my wife, kids, or parents signatures easily. To be honest, they wouldn't even know the ballots were missing.

The postal service admitted they could find 300,000 ballots. That's a problem.
