Thailand has charged two Iranian suspects in connection with a failed bomb plot in Bangkok, the third such plot to shake world capitals this week.

The explosions in Bangkok came a day after bombers targeted Israeli embassy staff in India and Georgia, with a female diplomat seriously wounded in New Delhi, in attacks Israel said were orchestrated by Iran.

One of the Iranian suspects - named as 28-year-old Saeid Morati - had his legs blown off as he hurled an explosive device at Thai police while fleeing an earlier blast at a house in Bangkok.

"These three Iranian men are an assassination team and their targets were Israeli diplomats including the ambassador," a senior Thai intelligence official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Maybe this is part of the big announcement Iran was touting as upcoming 'we have nukes and we have the terrorists capable of throwing grenades with great accuracy for the grace of allah'. Shame they dont have a peaceful religion.

 

Nope, clearly people are reading way too much into this. The fact is that the target was a tree and the terrorist failed to take into account the highly effective defensive actions it applied. I think antiterrorism security agencies could learn from how quick acting trees deal with situations like this. We should also declare solidarity with trees in our common fight against terrorism.
