Bumpy ride being a forgiving euphemism for constant chaos including a record amount of top level personnel changes, hiring based on loyalty over competence, nepotism, making exceptions on policy for security clearances, the refusal to accept the conclusions of the intel community, abuses relating to emergency power declarations, Billy the Bagman's bald-faced lie of Mueller's exoneration, impeachment for both illegal acts and abuses of authority, pathological lying, giving deference to Putin, unhinged attacks on the media, culminating with the disastrous failure of policy to contain COVID. Needless to say I left out many, many other events worthy of noting.

Now, having been bludgeoned by the aforementioned relentless disorder so that nothing is considered to be beyond the realm of possibility, the leader of the previously most reliable democracy in the world is refusing to concede an election he lost by significant margins of popular votes and future assigned electoral college electors.

All while he has named disgraced hatchet man, and reluctant movie star, Slimy Rudy Giuliani to head his diminishing legal team. And as a 30 year old former college quarterback who was hustled out of the WH two years ago after a security clearance check turned up a prolific habit for online gambling is purging government employees seen as insufficiently loyal.

No wonder the rest of the world laughs at us. They only hush up when America ponies them dollars, and the masses are fed that our giving to the rest of the world is some virtuous signal.

As the rest of the world prospers while we plunder, I hope they take 5 good minutes to think "Hey, maybe this 'democracy' thing and helping the rest of the world, isn't quite helping us."

Interesting note: When I was in HS, my psych class was allowed to tour Napa Mental Hospital, where Charles Manson was kept at the time. We not only toured, we were allowed to interact and hang out with patients who weren't considered to be dangerous. We had everything from catatonic schizophrenics to a guy who thought he was a chicken.

I saw one guy sitting alone on a bench. I sat down and said hello. He looked and seemed pretty normal compared to the rest. I asked him how he ended up in a place like this. He said he wasn't sure. He was in a park and took 30 hits of acid, and woke up here.
