Surely you jest.... The economy. The coming crisis between Russia and the U. S. over Syria. The Chinese continuing to support N. Korea, even after they said they would "talk tough". On and on and on and on.... Talk to anybody in any large American metropolitan police department and ask them how often things like this "Trayvon" situation go on.

I would think that, for most reasonable people, his version of what happened has already been blown, since he clearly stated the "attack" happened at the T junction (then he moved it about 10 feet South of the T junction), when we have both a witness and a lifeless body placing the shooting much further South of the junction (about 40 to 50 feet South).

Actually, it was longer than that, since GZ still stayed on the phone for another 2 minutes with 911, and the encounter didn't happen immediately.. Seems that BOTH of them had time to leave the scene. . .Trayvon might have wanted to finish his call to his girl friend. . .what was Zimmerman's excuse?

S, we've been arguing and debating this stuff for a year, it's almost time for us to now sit back and watch how the "playa's" move their chess pieces across the board.

Know what I mean? Nuthin' left for us to do...

I would also be interested to witness that part of the trial!

Some people here just said that "it wasn't unusual for MMA fighters to stumble 40 to 50 feet in the ring!"

Well, that was an interesting conversation (happened about 2 to 3 months ago!

I totally agree. . .and have stated so much several times since last Monday.

I feel very comfortable now that the trial is on it's way. That is ALL I wanted: a thorough investigation and a trial by jury.

That is the way justice is suppose to work. I have the feeling it will be a hung jury. . which will be too bad, but at least, Zimmerman will not have gone home and spend the rest of his life bragging about "shooting a burglar!"

I'm sticking with Z copping to a lesser manslaughter charge 3-4 weeks into the trial.

And that's from someone who really doesn't want to see him do pen time.

Not sure of any excuse other than trying to make sure the complex was secure and heading back to his vehicle. I don't think there is anything that proves otherwise.

I wonder how many white kids he saw as suspicious and called about them. Surely he didn't call on everyone who was out walking around. He didn't see Martin commit any crimes. He had no reason to get out of his vehicle to follow Martin based on Martin just walking through the neighborhood. He should have just let the police handle it and been done with it. That was the option he didn't take.

You do know the front gate was left open until 7 PM.. the back gate was broken and there was a large unfenced area behind Taaffe's house. Taaffe left his house open and unattended. In fact, Taaffe had quit NW four months before the shooting.

Most of the residents didn't know George.. and GZ didn't know most of the residents.

How could George feed two large dogs and join a gym since he couldn't even pay his rent.

Did George get a second job at night stocking shelves at the Target? Nope .. he patrolled the neighborhood at night.

This whole episode was about George.. not Trayvon.

Yeah ? And does anybody here want to venture forth with some PROOF that Zimmerman was not defending himself from Martin throwing a first punch ? Because that's what you'll need to have to get a conviction. So far I haven't seen it in this thread, or anywhere else. Anybody think they have it ? Let's hear it! We've seen enough strikeouts already. :giggle:

The defense doesn't need to show proof that TM instigated it. The prosecution needs to show proof that he did not do that. Or that GZ instigated it. LOL. Good luck with that.

Apparently you don't know much about the concealed weapons law and self defense in Florida, There have been dozens of cases of justifiable homicide, over the years, where the dead assailant never even touched the shooter. And never even came within 10 feet of him. Merely coming at the victim (the shooter) threateningly, and menacingly, is enough to justify shooting in self-defense,

FALSE! He acted in accordance with normal security standards established by the state of Florida. Ordinarily, security people act first in defense of their post. Police come into it later, only if necessary. Sure, he had a reason to get out of his vehicle. His job is to OBSERVE & REPORT. You can't do that with a moving suspect, while sitting in a vehicle. If your notions were to be accepted, security personnel wouldn't even exist.

    1. Doesn't matter what he was "advised" to do >> (right here I would have put in a link to my OP IT DOESN'T MATTER What the Dispatcher Said, but Jiyuu-Freedom outrageouly deleted it) So much for freedom of speech.

    2. You thought right. Zimmerman certainly has a right to walk in the dark, following Trayvon, and has a duty to do that as well, as a security person.

    3. Nobody ever said Trayvon didn't have a right to walk leisurely in the dark while talking to his girlfriend on the phone. Nor did they say that was a crime.
