https://www.11alive.com/article/new...versy/85-89932cc3-9894-41ce-8d3b-a8138b2838b6 People are starting to look into Nathan Wade's background in light of the recent ethics violation allegations. And it's not looking good. Cobb County, which neighbors Fulton County to the north, had a series of inmates die in their poorly managed jail. One inmate arrested on a misdemeanor was found dead and infested by bugs. An autopsy found no conclusive cause of death considering he was otherwise healthy. But they noted the sheer number of insects consuming his body. He also had wounds associated on picking his skin. His jail cell was so infested with bugs and was so dirty that authorities used hazmat suits to remove him from his cell. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/apr/15/atlanta-jail-man-dead-eaten-bed-bugs In response to this horrific death in their jail, a local media entity filed a FOIA request to investigate. But, they were told they had just reopened an "independent investigation," so they couldn't comply with the request. Convenient, right? But what qualified individual was running this investigation? Nathan Wade stepped in at this convenient time to run the investigation on such short notice and offered to do it for free. I have no idea what qualifications he has to run this type of investigation, so free probably sounds like a fair price. But this seems strange. Georgia law allows them to deny records requests while an investigation is ongoing. At a hearing, Wade informed the news media's attorney that he had no documents in his possession. When asked to clarify that he "did not have a single record in your possession that's associated with the review?" He responded that he had created a work product. But, "just not in the form of documents, communications, or records memorializing, reflecting evidence, or relating to the work." He said his law form had no records either. Wade was asked what the work product was. He responded that he "kept it in his mind." When he did take notes he said he quickly destroyed them. "Got done with it, destroyed it, and walked out." He produced no documents and no timetable for compiling and releasing a report." What???????? He produced no work product and destroyed every record he took? Wade is starting to seem more crooked and in bed with local government than was initially known. How does a guy with no felony or RICO experience get the biggest criminal case in the history of Georgia? Well... this is potentially how. He comes off as a corrupt fixer for the local government when they want something unethical done that an ethical attorney would scoff at. This rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper.
Of course its a record. If we are to believe him they are THE ONLY record of his entire investigation for the county with dead inmates.
No, they are his workproduct notes. By 'record' I mean its not part of the evidence he was investigating. He didn't read evidence then burn the evidence.
Willis, Leticia James, Alvin Bragg, Jack Smith and this Wade character all seem to have the same lack of morality to guide them. Glad we have Jack in there otherwise i'd be guilty of "racism".
