We told you so. https://www.foxbusiness.com/healthcare/covid-drug-remdesivir-private-insurance And for another $ 12 they'll give you a different drug that actually works. Now, in all fairness, some will say $3000 is cheap, relatively speaking. You might pay ten times that much for a round of snake antivenom. It should also be noted that this drug isn't recommended for everyone who gets the Chinese Flu. This drug is for those with underlying conditions or older than Methusaula.
If I get one that baby is hitting eBay. I’ll even throw in a $20 Denny’s gift certificate if the bid is high enough.
I wonder what will happen after medical science somewhere finally can produce a vaccine. With 7.5 billion residents of Earth and most needing vaccinations there might be some lines to wait in and producers may want some $$$. Will our government show any interest in expediting that? My bet is that this administration would just allow capitalism to maximize profit. That has been their direction to date. So, I hope everyone goes out in our COVID economy and gets themselves a really good job with great medical coverage in the post-ACA world.
Rioting and looting and bitching and complaining and fully expecting free stuff just for being born is way more fun than a job.
Riots? Looting? You're getting confused. We've gone way beyond the point where people earn enough to pay their way through COVID.
Covid has been called a combination of SARS and HIV. But my post was to give a bit of perspective that vaccines aren’t necessarily whipped up like a Starbucks latte.
Well, SARS is the virus and COVID is the disease this strain of SARS produces - a type of division that exists with HIV. Maybe HIV is just being used as another example of that division.
I believe it is how covid makes your killer T cells less or ineffective is why they draw the comparison.
I wonder what the vaccine will cost. Surely the vaccine is worth more than the treatment! Heaven for BigPharma is having exclusive rights to a nostrum that most of 7.6 BILLION people need. And, in the USA our for profit covarage companies get a %, too!
It is pretty sophisticated, that’s for certain. Makes me wonder if it was hatched in the rain forest or in a test tube. I know the narrative is that it isn’t genetically modified and that was pushed pretty heavily early on. Do we just accept that as truth, or do we start questioning the narrative? I’m in the same position with vaccines. And I believe in vaccines. I also believe autism is very real and is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. They tell me vaccines don’t cause autism, ok, fine. But something is causing it, and what ever that is it is environmental. How am I supposed to believe someone who is telling me vaccines don’t cause autism when nobody can tell me what does. We are supposed to be skeptical, it is our birthright as Americans. Back in the 70’s and 80’s, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were the staple of life for a kid. Now you can’t send a kid to school with one without the cafeteria being evacuated by a hazmat team. What changed? We are definitely doing something wrong here but nobody has answers, only excuses and shade. I’m not buying the narrative. It smells like a fish to me.
When vaccines changed away from using the preservative compounds that were the root of the autism claims, there was no change in the autism rate. Also, the medical science claims of those opposed to vaccination have been totally debunked. Specifically, the Wakefield study in the UK was found to have used data that were purposefully falsified. His falsifications were significant enough to get him dropped from the UK registry of scinetists. Environmental? What I've read says it has a lot to do with genetics and inheritance - related to a number of diseases.
I don’t want to believe vaccines cause autism, really I don’t. I had the childhood vaccines that were prescribed back in the 70’s and got hammered with a whole lot more during my army time (88-92). As a veteran of the Persian gulf war, is was issued and ordered to take PB tabs. Pyridostigmine bromide. Yeah, well, kiss my ass, I’m wasn’t taking them. I popped one out of the blister pack every morning so I would pass inspection, but flipped the pill out into the desert. I didn’t take the non mandatory (read non fda approved) shots either. I don’t know what caused soldiers to come down with gulf war syndrome, I don’t know what causes autism, but I know something did/does, and until I know what that is, everything is suspect. I remember a few years back where Robert DeNiro (he has an autistic child) wanted to show the movie “Vaxxed” at his Tribeca film festival. Under pressure he scrubbed that idea and publicly announced how wrong his thinking was. The look on his face during his announcement was one of a man that had just seen a ghost... his own ghost. I wonder if that video is still available.
Not so amazing. COVID-19 is hot and a lot of money thrown at it. I hope I am not being too cynical to suggest that some of these results might be bogus; you don't get money to produce negative results.
Sure. I remember that. And, ones heart has to go out to DeNiro. I have a grandkid. I would do absoltuely anything for her. But, watching a movie created by antiscience has NOTHING to do with investigatin the truth. And, the damage done by encouraging people to oppose vaccination is absolutely horrible. Plus, if you want to fight autism, then fight autism. It's not as if that movie hasn't claimed victims. And, that movie has been solidly debunked.
I have 7 grandkids and this autism thing scared the hell out of me. They are all old enough now that we are out of the woods, but dammit, what is it? What is causing it?
No. You get money to study somthing if you present a plan for which there is reasonable evidence of importance as well as possible progress. If results turn out to be valid, including with repetition by 3rd parties and review, then that stands on its own.
Amen. But, there has been far and away enough work to know it isn't vaccines. There ARE sites that talk about what medical science knows about the causes of autism.
The PBJ sandwiches were not of concern for kids in the past for were for the same reason so much else was not of a concern for kids - kids not having seat belts for crashes, kids on crazy playground equipment, kids walking around all hours with strangers or funny uncles taking sex lessons to kids (alot wasn't even illegal!), no one worried about making kids losing 20+ IQ points from lead gas and leaded paint chips in baseboards, no one cared everyone would have plenty of kids and when a couple of the kids died in many families, everyone had spare kids! What is particularly amusing is that what IS known is that kids getting vaccines do DO NOT cause autism! Studies of millions of children around the world have shown that kids don't get autism from vaccines, and what IS known is that vaccines DO prevent death and harm from millions of children.
?? Form some questions about autism and its cause and look for ones that come from well known and universally trusted medical science sites. The point here is that its not vaccines.
