Repeating the meme doesn't make it accurate.

Excuse me? I believe I already said I wasn't voting for him. I'm just pointing out that the Left is making itself look trivial and petty by following your line.

Good. It's always refreshing to see a successful, brilliant black person put slavery into context. It's the liberal nuts of today who are determined not to let the nation move on that are the causes of all the racial unrest we're seeing.

Someone encouraged me to go there, somehow.

But right now, May 5, 2016, 9:35 EST... I'm pretty sure it really doesn't matter much at all.

Really, people's anti-Obama obsession... is becoming a stench in the nostrils of the American people.

The people who LOST against this rather formidable political opponent, need to throw out their sour grapes and move on.

When you look at the competition ? .... YES.

It is almost like the Right wants to force people to vote Dem rather than throwing both Red and Blue out as both are corrupt beyond redemption.

Any human can be made to beg for death under extreme torture.

This is like an example of making the alternative so horrible that people are being forced into doing something they do not want to do.

Right.. The Dem's house negro is beyond reproach. He won the election (won is subjective) so we should be complacent with a sociopathic marxist in the White House... got it.

I never said you were voting for him. I did, however, point out your flawed reasoning that a good surgeon will make a good politician.

He certainly put it into context: he compared slavery to a healthcare program, which is yet another example of how he doesn't understand social issues.

But don't get me wrong, I want Carson to not only run, but to get the RNC nomination.

Trivializing slavery is not going to get him many votes. In fact, it's rae baiting, and something that doesn't come from politicians who know better, from Obama to Cruz.

Except - I didn't equate being a good surgeon with being a good politician - you made that leap all by yourself. My point was that anyone who calls someone as accomplished as Carson, "a clown," probably fits that label him/herself.

I assume you meant "race" baiting, but how did you come to that conclusion? Carson wants blacks to better themselves, through their own intellect and motivation. His view on slavery is that it should not create a feeling of victimhood in today's blacks. He thinks it hold them back and holds them down. On that issue - he's dead right.

You do realize that Carson and his wife have set up scholarships as well as founded centers that help young blacks achieve?

I agree, all the scandal surrounding the Obama administration and Hillary Clintons tenure as Secretary of State is a very bad stench in the nostrils of the American people. The secrecy and whitewashes of Fast and Furious, the IRS targeting....where the heck was our attorney general? Then add to that Hillary Clinton's royal screw up in Benghazi....using a personal eMail server so anything that could possibly used against her could be erased so as never to be held to account. The Obama administration and Hillary's State Dept more closely resemble a third world nation with tin pot dictators than the United States I grew up in that booted Nixon out for doing far less than this administration. That's the stench in the nostrils of the American people.

I'm sure many Americans will do just that if that Obama clone in a lime green pants suit is elected.

He explained why Carson is a clown in post #43. It has nothing to do with his medical expertise.

The atheist and agnostic numbers in America are growing. This guy Carson might be a nice enough guy but nobody wants to hand 7,500 nukes to someone who believes in parted seas, global floods, men made from dirt, women made from dirt-man ribs, raising roman soldiers from the dead, walking on water, or the universe being created over a 6 day period by some invisible sky-daddy about 6,500 years ago.

His comparison was a practice in "grasping at straws." It was inaccurate.

The guy is an absolute fruitloop. Probably a nice enough guy, but an absolute fruitloop. No way I want him holding the nuclear football and trying to negotiate the future of the planet with Putin. Kinda want Condi Rice and Colin Powell to do that; but I don't think they are interested in the job. ;-(

Because real religion has been tainted by money and decades of abuse.

He mixes his faith too much with his politics... he is nothing but scary.

I have to assume a lot of powerful people asked Colin Powell and Condi Rice to run. I wonder why Powell didn't want to do it. He has to know how important his contribution would be to moving America in the right direction, doesn't he? Is he sick and we don't know it because he wants that to stay private? I just can't take many more of these horrible sets of choices. Remember 2008 - McSame and Juggs? Why? Just.... WHY????? And 2012. Romney and Lyin' Ryan? Romney believes that we all go to this secret star called Kolob when we die and that God lives right there at that star. Why? Just....WHY????? Can't we just once have some sane, intelligent people that are not owned and operated like some sort of billionaire's puppet (like Hitlery) or some sort of racist that wants to create a civil war (like Obama wants)?

I see your points, but take exception with the suggestion that Obama wants a civil war.

But laws have to be passed, to limit money in our politics, so that regular, working voters can be heard.

Even so, I choose from the choices presented (for now).

    Your claim is false.

The economic collapse of 2008 was far greater than the post Iranian crisis recession.

They are ALL longshots right now....every freakin' one of 'em.

The next many months will allow them all to beat each other up and give Hillbilly plenty of ammo.
