McConnell has already said there will be a trial, if the Senate is sent articles of impeachment. It's a constitutional requirement. Graham is blowing smoke.

Yes there will be a trial in the Senate if the house votes to impeach.

Good luck getting 19 REPUBLICAN to flip.
Without 19 REPUBLICANS - the democrats lose.

Graham is one of the most powerful senators.
He knows that the republicans consider the
    Whistleblower a partisan hack.

If the whistleblower does not testify, you lose!
And there is not a thing Schiff, Pelosi, & Schumer can do about it !

I agree, based on the information we have as of now. I expect more evidence against Trump to come before the Senate votes. I agree that the task for Democrats to to show clear evidence that the President is guilty of felonies and more than "high crimes and misdemeanors," which is a phrase related to "political crimes."

Even IF they had Trump on video (committing a Capital Crime) they couldn't get 20 GOP Votes in the Senate.

    It is what it is.

Of course, Impeachment IS (and Always Has Been) DOA in the Senate.

    Mueller struck out !
The Dems are afraid to have the whistleblower testify.
The transcript of the call indicated no QPQ.
The Ukrainian leader Zelensky said there was no QPQ.
The money was released with no investigation of Hunter Biden.

Some subordinate who had second hand info saying it was a QPQ does not make it true.
It is just their opinion. Plenty of other people
Including Zelensky said there was no QPQ.

Not sure what new stories the democrats can create at this point, but good luck.

Mueller did a good job and there are important loose ends he left behind (e.g. the Roger Stone trial). That trial could expose additional evidence of "conspiracy" between members of the campaign and the Russians, with the possible involvement of the President himself. Mueller also left the potential obstruction of justice charges to either his boss, AG Barr (to repeal the DoJ policy on not indicting a sitting President), or to a Congressional impeachment inquiry, or to some future AG, after Trump leaves office.
The transcript did show evidence of a QPQ, when melded into the other actions by Giuliani, Sondland, Mulvaney and others.
The testimony of those with direct knowledge of the call and other events corroborates the WB's complaint, making his testimony unnecessary.

Not without a public trial. If the Republican members of the Senate wish to acquit the President despite what I expect to be overwhelming evince of impeachable offenses, then they can answer to their constituents in the next election.

Both are right, it will be a short trial. As even the LW admits, it will be DOA in the Senate, but it ever got serious you'd have hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters surrounding the Capitol Building.

How exactly is asking for a favor that never happened and delaying funds that were given impeachable? Trump was enforcing the Clinton era treaty between the US and Ukraine on addressing corruption there. Biden doesn't get a pass because he's running for POTUS, Hillary and Trump didn't.

    Mueller did a good job?

    Did you see him testify?
I am surprised they are not pulling his drivers license after all his stumbles.

Don’t you think her should have known about Fusion GPS?

That’s like Santa Claus not knowing about Rudolph.

Democrats will be voting along party lines to convict, in a blatantly partisan political attack.

Im not 100 percent sure, but I think the articles of impeachment will have to make it out of the Senate Judiciary committee, which Sen Graham presides over. I think he could possibly prevent the impeachment from ever being considered by tabling the articles in committee. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You need to wait until the two current investigation findings are released. The IG report already found the last three FISA applications were illegal, and I'm betting the first will also be found so. The Durham investigation has been upgraded to a criminal one, probably because crimes have been uncovered. It's Grand Jury means indictments are coming.

The Mueller investigation was one in search of a crime, based on hearsay. Maybe you can tell me what imagined crime it was based on?

Stolen e-mails from the DNC and Clinton campaigns and the possibility that there were supplied in coordination with the Trump campaign for the purpose of helping him to win the 2016 election. Not aware the IG has found FISA warrants illegally applied for and/or issued. Can you cite a source?

Mueller's testimony was fine. His caution reduced the question time by half. Fusion GPS was related to the Steele dossier, which was barely mentioned in the report.
