Lets focus on mental health. The ACA was the largest expansion of mental health benefits this country has ever seen....and the right voted against it. I guess its back to gun control
The ACA was a disaster, its remnants still are, but that still isn't the core issue here. The real issue is about morality, bad or lack of parenting, and no respect for human life. Banning guns won't solve that. It isn't about 'mental' health as many think. Every one of these mass shooters survived in society and knew right from wrong, they chose to do what they did. Warning signs were ignored, and that is ultimately where the blame on this one resides...
