    Thanks.

    Kentucky is a state that reports “New admissions”, “Currently Hospitalized”, and percent of hospitalized patients in ICUs, both Adults and Pediatric.

    Kentucky Health also reports Total Hospitalizations/Cumulative since the beginning of the Pandemic.

    The question is; Does KY Health reports;

    Hospitalized With Covid?
    Hospitalized Due to Covid?
    or both?

    According to Carlson’s Hospitalizations Tracking Project......”Due to Covid”

    However, I’ll look it up.

    Ffs, I hate when people are intentionally obtuse. The argument is that you don’t really need a shot if you’re healthy and especially if you’re young AND healthy. The chance of death for that group of people is extremely low!! Now cut the straw man BS.

    Source for Kentucky’s Hospitalization data

    KY Covid19 Report
    Jan 14, 2022
    chfs.ky.gov

    Regions 1 to 10

    Example; Region 1

    Covid19 in-patient........126
    Covid19 ICU........32
    Covid19 on ventilators.......22
    Inpatient capacity used for Covid19.....14.6%
    ICU capacity used for Covid19.....37.6%
    Ventilators used for Covid19.....24.4%

    Let’s continue.......overall

    Inpatient capacity use.......63.27%
    ICU capacity use......83.53%
    Ventilator capacity in use......33.33%

    Let’s continue.......use your brain, for example;

    KY Region # 1, ICU capacity use;

    For Covid19.......37.6%
    For Non-Covid19.... (83.53% - 37.6%) = 45.93%

    Geeeeeeeze, what a comprehensive Covid and Non-Covid Hospitalization report provided by Kentucky Health, and as of Jan 14, 2022!

    CDC; “Up to 40%” of hospitalized patients who tested positive were admitted for other reasons than Covid

    So what!........Google the phooken REAL/ACTUAL info like I just did, and use your brain!

    Bottom line; In the U.S, and all over the world, there’s a shortage of medical professionals, and for several reasons;

    a. Those who are on sick leave, mainly due to Covid
    b. Those who took an early retirement, due to being over-stressed and burnouts.
    c. Those who had enough, and simply quit
    d. Those who quit prior to a vaccine mandate for health care workers
    e. Those whose licenses were suspended after a vaccine mandate deadline.
    f. other reasons

    All of the above is a global problem, thus, not just in the U.S.

    By the way, my daughter is a nurse, and she text me every day about her long hours, stress, co-workers who quit, and co-workers who are thinking of quitting.

    REFUTE!

    Why would I refute any of that? My post had nothing to do with it.

    Anyone who denies the following facts.......

    a. In the U.S., we currently have a shortage of medical professionals, and in many regions, a severe shortage,

    b. A shortage of medical professionals do often overwhelm hospitals, and especially when the demand for health care is much higher than the care on-duty staff are able to provide.

    .......aren’t too bright.

    Agree or disagree?

    Disagree. You cannot determine a persons intelligence based on their knowledge of trivia. You can however assess intelligence (or lack of) by how someone reasons about someone else's intelligence.

    True or False;

    Healthy people are less likely to be hospitalized for Covid, or to die from it.

    True.

    False.

    You can determine a person’s intelligence when they keep denying indisputable facts.

    Headline; Red or Blue Governor needs at least 100 out-of-state nurses, and deploys 200 national guards to help hospitals.

    Stupid response; “Nope, said Governor/State has no shortage of nurses/hospital staff”

    Claim; “Don’t get vaccinated because Covid vaccines have a 5G Tracking microchip”

    Red Governor response;

    “Come on, the same people spreading this nonsense are also walking/talking on their cellphones all day long.

    I mean, come on!

    What do you me prove?

    Once again,

    Healthy people are less likely to be hospitalized for Covid or die from it.

    Common sense!

    In fact, healthy people are less likely to be hospitalized for most diseases/illnesses.

    A true, and common sense statement.

    Once again, there was no need to get hysterical over Walensky’s “Up to 40%” claim.

    Note; Over 30 states are reporting all above-mentioned Hospitalizations data, and on a daily/weekly basis.

    No more excuses.

    Folks, let's continue discussing the above-mentioned KY hospitalizations data

    Source; https://chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dph/covid19/COVID19DailyReport.pdf

    Now, here are the reasons why I've been googling the following NATIONAL and State's Hospitalizations Data

    COVID-19 Hospitalization Tracking Project

    https://carlsonschool.umn.edu/mili-misrc-covid19-tracking-project

    1. Data are provided by the State's Department of Health
    2. Data are Covid Patients Only, thus, hospitalized DUE TO COVID
    3. Data Excludes suspected Covid Cases

    For example; KY Health 'Currently Hospitalized'
    Footnote: COVID-19 census numbers include both confirmed and suspected patients.
    However, KY Health provides Carlson both confirmed and suspected data

    KY Health "Currently Hospitalized"; 2,200
    Carlson; 2,126

    Differential; minus 74 patients, thus, 3.3%..................National Pandemic Average 'suspected'; 3%

    ____________________

    Last, do not get confuse.....

    KY DoH Hospitalizations data CLEARLY states;

    Inpatient Capacity used FOR COVID19......FOR FOR FOR COVID19 Patients

    Quote; What an about face. A year or so ago if a person died in a car accident and had the virus he was deemed a China virus death because the virus was a political weapon.

    Absurd!

    But before I rip you apart, are there other posters who would like to high-five the OP’s statement?

    That number is estimated to be sky high. Anybody who just happens to get a stroke and die or whatever around the day of being vaxxed is counted in that number. While people simply do die from whatever all the time, and so it could just as well totally not related.

    That 800k is low. It's a fact that more people are dying during the covid years then just the people who get labelled as those died due to covid. That shows the amount of people who died from covid is underreported. The difference is about 20%. So 800K counted is probably more like 960K, but I settle for 800k.
    https://www.nber.org/papers/w29503

    I got a some 100,000's of deaths due to corona vs at the very very best some 11,000 deaths due to the vaccine.
    The difference is crystal clear that covid is FAR more deadly, and you act if the decimal point is not where it is at.

    Let’s continue.....

    Claim; A year ago, if a person died in a car accident and had the virus he was deemed a China virus Death.

    Well, let’s see how many people have died due to a motor vehicle accident from 2015 to 2020

    2015......35,085
    2016......37,806......up 7.8%
    2017.......37,473
    2028.......36,560
    2019.......36,096

    2020......38,680......up 7.2%, largest increase since 2016

    Thus, in 2020, how many motor vehicle related deaths were certified as Covid deaths?

    I’m not finished!

    Let’s continue.....

    In 2020, how many accidental deaths were certified as Covid deaths?

    Let’s see

    2015.......146,671 Accidental deaths
    2016.......161,374
    2017.......169,936
    2018.......167,127
    2019.......173,040
    2020.......192,176......largest increase since 2015

    Source; Jamanetwork.com

    Thus, in 2020, how many accidental deaths, such as people who were crushed by a train, were certified as Covid deaths?

    I’m not finished!

    If you think the real number of dead by CV-19 is 800,000, then you have bought ridiculous propaganda. If you would like, we can talk about the deaths under Trump vs. Biden and why Biden's numbers are even worse overall.

    You're welcome.

    There is such a thing like excess mortality. That's the number how many more people died compared to other years. And that figure shows a lot more people died during the pandemic then the 800k accounted for dying by covid. So that shows the government has been underreporting it.

    It's not as if the hospitals are adequately staffed. And the result is that they could not always find the time to test a person who came in dying if it was covid or not. And with a death like that, untested, it did not fall into the category of died by covid.

    And I can be rather short about dems vs gop and the approach to covid.
    In general, the gop dislikes the idea that people must use some kind of protection against spreading the virus. That opinion leads to some people help stopping the spread and some people not giving a flying f about spreading it around. So see that I care you blame the result of the GOP approach on a democrat.

    JAMA network updates 2020’s Death Numbers, and leading causes of death.

    Also, most states will publish their 2020 mortality final report by mid-summer.

    Last, I anticipate Republicans will also deny their Red State’s Covid and Non-Covid death certifications/numbers/causes of death.
