No, about having to battle gangs. And you probably were masturbating over Marcia Brady. Not surprising at all. You probably still do!

Bland isn't exactly a smear, just an honest observation. Had I wised to disparage Johnson I'd have made reference to his televised pledge of sobriety ...

See, I'd have suggested weeds affects on Johnsons short term memory explained why Allepo didn't ring a bell, or why he couldn't name a single world leader he admired.

Maybe he doesn't admire any world leaders? Do you?

    - - - Updated - - -

If I was in Gary's shoes, I would have said "none of them do I admire." I admire our founding fathers for putting such an amazing experiment in democracy to work and for taking the risks to secure it and our freedom.

So? He couldn't remember the name of some obscure place in the ME. The only reason why anyone knows about Aleppo is because of the Syrian conflict, which SHOULD be none of our business anyways. We have OUR own problems here at home to take care of before we go meddling in other countries' problems.

Actually Chris Mathews in subsequent interviews, has said he'd have accepted anyone, living or dead, in order to move past the awkward moment. I think stage-fright probably played a bigger role than THC, but it was embarrassing none the less.

Very much so, I was a... well, I wasn't really anything when I first joined this site, but most people would have probably said I was a liberal. I've slowly moved to the center over the years here. I usually refer to myself as a libertarian, although I'm not always in line with that sort of thinking.

Oh okay. Well there's a lot of civilians suffering in Libya right now because of terrorists. Perhaps America should go bomb and kill those civilians so they no longer have to suffer.

Are only Russians allowed to kill civilians in countries that aren't theirs?
Is America allowed to do so too? Do you approve of America's invasion of Iraq?

And edit p.s. When I asked you to educate me on the subject I was looking for something better than "kill the civilians because there's nothing better to do."
    I don't feel very educated.

At one point she ended up prostituting herself for cocaine.

If only had I some good coke back then [kidding]. Very sad, actually. But she pulled it together. Now she's a religious nut. Very sad... but better. :D

I did try to get a date with Marcia, sort of. My neighbor signed me up for some contest through a teen magazine. I was hoping!!! :D :D :D

I remember once looking something up while in the middle of a forum argument and realizing, based on what I found, that I was wrong. The guy I was arguing with was such a jerk that I couldn't admit it.

I can totally understand that. There are some real jerks on internet forums. Not to mention liars, players, schemers, etc., etc.

If Johnson was tied with Clinton in the polls I would have voted for him. Even if he was close to having the percent he needed to get his party federal funding in the next election I might have voted for him. But he wasn't. So, living in Lancaster Pa at the time I decided my vote might just matter and I gave it to Trump.

    - - - Updated - - -

And yea, he has more integrity than Trump and Clinton combined.

Oh, and the mental cases! How could I forget them? I've found that most people (with the exception of a very few) on these types of forums are not playing with a full deck! All kinds of weirdos. Not surprising though. These types of forums are like a magnet to such people who used to walk the streets screaming at people and carrying signs. :D

LOL! The internet doesn't exactly lend itself to civility, does it.

The biggest change for me was the viability of producing fuels from algae. Not a political issue but still a heated debate. I had seen one alternative after another come along and they always had or have the same problem of high cost, and low energy density. Nothing had a prayer of replacing oil. But this guy beat me over the head for pages and finally convinced me. It is the best option on the table. It is the only option to completely replace petroleum products. It will work and we will be running on fuels produced from algae. I ended up starting a company dedicated to developing this new technology. How's that for a turnaround?!?!

The last time I checked, they are down to about 5 dollars a gallon for biodiesel. So it's getting close. When I started on this it was about 30 dollars a gallon.

That's kind of how I'm moving. Toward libertarian although I'm not sure on some of their policies. But then again as a republican some of their policies annoy me too.

I'm a centrist. I don't have loyalty to any political party. However, I do lean right on most fiscal issues and issues regarding immigration, gun rights, etc. I do lean more left on many social issues though.

You know that guy who shot up the church full of black people? That guy was actually a member at another forum that I post at sometimes. Just an example of some of the weirdos you might be talking to. You just never know.

That post and your previous (post #57) raises some questions.

Why do you feel you have to have "all of you" out there?

Why do you feel your words have little value unless people know they are your words? Words convey knowledge, knowledge itself has intrinsic value and is not dependent upon the speaker.

Why do you feel you need external accountability in order to remain in control and not respond in a personal manner?

I don't feel I have to. It's just that is the way it's always been. I joined VK to keep up with my family in Izmail, Ukraine. I joined Facebook to keep up with my friends in school. I joined model mayhem to show off the pictures my cousin (photographer) took of me. I joined Linkedln to promote my work skills. And so on. I don't feel exposed because my pictures and name are all over the internet. It seems natural.
This site here (PF) is one of the few websites where I don't list my real last name.

True. But on political sites it's opinions more than knowledge we're reading. If I need a factual answer then of course it doesn't matter where I get it. I might as well use Google. When I'm looking for opinions it does matter to me if there's a face and name behind the opinion. Or at least a personality I'm familiar with and who's posts I enjoying reading.
As for myself. When I speak on the forums I don't want to do it as a girl with the account name "Mashed Potato Girl". I want to speak as Anna, the mixed American, Ukrainian, Russian hyperglot, moderate republican who likes mashed potatoes. Having my background known puts a perspective behind my words. It gives me personality. It makes forum interactions more interesting.

Because I'm not always a nice person.
