No it is not why do keep saying this, you're playing a word game. Trump before the pandemic was at 13k barrels a day, When Biden took office, we were doing 11k per day but just last year it dropped below 10k per day three separate times, we were doing, 11.5 k at the beginning of this year and now almost 12k, when the world needs more due to Russia. Bottom line he turned us from a net exporter to net importer when the world needed us to grow our net exporting, but a political climate agenda took priority, instead of legitimate thought and planning on how to increase EV wisely. Add on inflation, war etc and we have the disaster that we have today.

    with hindsight, I agree

once it got out of control, nothing could be done except let it run its course

Oh yea you didn't want to discuss so you pulled the HEY NOW typical response, we get it I promise. It's hilarious. Now everyone go to my post in response and possibly we can have a fruitful discussion instead of a liberal telling us what we republicans want, which I originally responded too.

Nope, the result from lockdowns do more harm. When it all kicked off with covid, various reports claimed this, and they've come to fruition. High inflation reduces nutrition, worse nutrition effects people's health so more deaths from this are predicted than those who died of covid. Also, missed cancer screening has meant several thousand (UK estimate was 8,000) would die from not screening and catching cancers sooner. The Right protested the lockdowns, the Left cried to get them enforced sooner, just to attack their president/prime minister. You can't have your cake and eat it.

So now, the majority are suffering because of the minority. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, but not in a Left Wingers book.

quarantining only works early on, Trump was a day late and a dollar short

and in our world of mass travel across the globe and around the country, not sure it could ever work with a fast spreading virus like Covid

Trump did not care about the many, only himself it seems

It was not a full quarantine either. Citizens moved back and forth freely for quite a time.

I knew people that went from grocery store to grocery store during the lock-downs as in their minds... that was allowed and it allowed them to go out

So if we don't have a shortage why the hell is the price skyrocketing?

that is the million dollar question, republicans told us American oil would be cheaper, why is it not?

almost like American oil is using the shortage overseas as an excuse to charge us more

Do you agree with the Biden administration that high gas prices are worth it?

did not affect the amount of oil the usa produces

the reality is, when foreign oil increases supply, they will under bid us and price will come down again

I don't think that's totally true.... prices might also drop if America/The World continues cutting out some discretionary driving.... that's demand going down...

Biden was inaugurated on January 20, 2021: the first full month he was in office the US produced 9,773 thousand BPD. The last record available is for April 2022 which we produced 11,628 thousand BPD — that’s almost a 20% increase. I would argue that’s a fairly substantial amount in a little over a year with massive supply chain shortages and a lack of employees.

Compare that to trump who’s first month of office we were at 9,109 and his last month we were at
11,056 or a 21% increase over 4 years. Even if you take the highest amount during the trump administration of 12,966 that’s a 41% increase or around 10% per year.

This is after trump begged OPEC to cut production leading to massive global shortfalls now.

So for Biden to be so intent on destroying the oil industry he isn’t far behind your god — and if you ignore global issues like y’all love to do with dear leader he is actually on pace to surpass him.

He can't... Maybe I misunderstood you, but I read your post that only increased foreign production will lower gas prices... Reduced demand could also do the trick...

Although I cannot imagine a better time to be pushing for, and building, more mass non gas burning public transportation....

oh, I was not saying other option could not, just that was the only one that would happen at this time in my opinion

American oil could just sell Americans oil for less too, but won't happen until their hand is forced
