The Russians wanted to sow discord and confusion into the election as they always have. They tried to hit both sides. It was the DNC that was stupid enough to not train their people on passwords that allowed them to hack the server while the RNC had proper cybersecurity.

Mueller, a lifelong Republican came up with that conclusion after an exhaustive investigation. There is NO way the Russians preferred Pres Trump over HRC, and certainly not because Mueller's boatload of deep state rats (and HRC supporters) say so.
