Um hm. Ok. But I am betting most homeless said the same thing.
You will find out when it happens to you. Be prepared for some shock.

did someone say all homeless are lazy, drug addicted, or mentally ill?

What you have said is not unture, but also not a representation of the majority of homeless cases here in HI. Places with proper hygiene can be found for far less than the average rent, food is not that expensive if you know where to look and put in the effort to do some work yourself, prices are high but that shouldn’t surprise anyone on a tourist vacation island, some have the lazy, mental, and drug issues some dont, some of landlords are greedy and others just want a fair price for their rent based on the demand.

I see and meet people everyday who pay high rent, have personal issues, little education, and they still get by just fine. The majority if people here who are out of work, are out of work by choice because they are retired or rich, and yes I feel bad for the ones who by no fault of their own are homeless but that is not the majority of cases, and there are govt programs to help those people.

It's true sometimes places can be found for less, but often these places can be much harder to find than places with more average levels of rent, and there's a lot of people trying to get a limited number of places. As a result, the landlords can get extremely picky. It's not always just a simple matter of anyone being able to go out and get these places when they want.

Clearly, but again this is a vacation spot it should come as no surprise. And it is not as hard as you are alluding to to find a place

Sometimes the solution to our problems simply require putting our feet to use.
When we see thousands of people traveling great distances attempting to enter our borders illegally hoping to improve their lives, I'm dismayed by the fact that a great many of American citizens will remain in place hoping, expecting, and demanding government make the improvements they want when they can legally travel to where opportunities may be greater than where they are.

After telling you of the impossibility of such a happening, your retort was "You will find out when it happens to you. Be prepared for some shock."

Are you asking how having a job can help one pay bills and not be homeless?

That would be your problem. My original words were:
"There's no chance of my becoming homeless.
If my home was to be destroyed I would find a temporary home to reside while finding a permanent one."
If there is no chance, your response
"You will find out when it happens to you. Be prepared for some shock."
strongly implies that it will happen even though I have taken preventive precautions making such a happening impossible.
Pick your words more carefully and correctly in the future.

No, I’m asking how working for $8 combats the high cost of living forced upon the native population

I know republicans struggle with basic economics, but please try to focus.

How does an $8 an hour job combat the high cost of living that was forced upon the natives?

I am not a Republican and your attempt to divert basic common sense is literally stupid. Explain how people with jobs are homeless. Stop cowering from an answer.

I'm forced to dumb it down so you can try to understand.

Extremely high cost of living. Working for $8 an hour, in Hawaii, isn't going to buy you a home.

    Basic economics.

Now, for like the 15th time.....................How does an $8 an hour job combat the high cost of living that was forced upon the natives?

Rent too high, income to low ... mean homeless since to have a home of some kinds means it must be housing you can get with your income.
