The US blew up the pipeline in order to stop that from happening, and to destroy a strategic link between Germany and Russia. The fact that you need something so obvious explained to you is yet another testament to your complete inability to think for yourself.

 

Failure of explosives...which is why all investigations are secret and nothing has been released. They've probably retrieved the evidence by now.

 

So the question - why one pipeline was left intact, when US declared that they will blow them up and did it, as You say, is silly question? Or silly questions are those, to whom you don't have an answer?
