Perhaps I have read too much of the John McTernan research….. His one about Hurricane Katrina…. really caught my attention!

I have to admit that Dannion Brinkley was also shown that this would work out in a somewhat negative manner for a while…….

And I think Vice President Al Gore should run as a Democrat candidate again. And, Sen. John Kerry should run again if he's decided which side he's on with any question. Or perhaps the liberals could find another candidate like Barack Obama who has never done anything significant, has no accomplishments, no talent, no promise and therefore no history. Is it too late for Willy Kerbisher in San Jose, California, to write a fictionalized autobiography of his 21-years?

    I completely agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Mr. Gore believes what he said in his own film "An Inconvenient Truth" he should be willing to face whatever criticism comes his way.... and toss his hat in the ring again..... but hopefully he could be a little less divisive this time around..... because at the time he did his film we knew much much less about Global Dimming!

In a way I almost wish he would run again. It would give a gravy victory to whatever democratic candidate running. What scares the heck out of me is Jeb Bush running. People are just stupid enough to vote for him. Throw in some 'republicans are thought on war' slogans and the current unfolding events of the days happening now, and some 'Obama is weak' and then, rut roh. (that's probably what the right is hoping for too). God protect us all should a third Bush ever be installed.

Everybody is flawed……. but Mitt Romney is certainly one of the most intellectual and well informed candidates that the Republican Party has ever chosen as their leader.

He was the Republican candidate who I personally felt would try his best to protect the two million Gay men living in Uganda who are in genuine danger of being victims of a holocaust.

He's all about the big boys and the big profit. He knows nothing about 'middle America' and would only continue to further the wealthiest folks agendas and serves ONLY the wealthiest amongst us. He'd have been a bigger disaster than even George Bush was.

Attempting to take all wealth from the wealthiest segment of the population didn't work out so well in Russia, China, North Vietnam, Cambodia or for Chavez in Venezuela????!!!

I am of the belief that extreme wealth....... as long as it isn't directed toward extreme evil....... tends to be non-inflationary and tends to increase research and development which is a great inflation fighter!

At this time in history................... there seem to be between one to five people in North America who benefit by bankrupting 95% of the one percent of the most wealthy of us!!!!!!!!!?

Actually................ any sort of job where any sort of genuinely productive pursuit is being accomplished..... is probably a good thing......… because corporate America is generally not interested in creating jobs..... but mostly in laying people off and replacing us with ten employees from China or some other third world nation where they can do whatever they wish!

Have you seen the film "Death by China?"

Until American corporations decided to use a bit of the great profit they receive to take care of the people that help them make it...we taxpayers will be forced to do it ourselves. Sweet deal for them...we the people not only pay them to provide services, but pay the folks they employ as well.

If only every company played the game like Costco:

I found Romney likable and would have made a much better leader than Obama but I also feel he was just Democrat lite.

But he almost won the election against an incumbent President which virtually cannot be done unless that President is strongly disliked.

Maybe Democrat Lite could win the Republicans an election???!!!

For decades now I have been hearing a bit of a debate on whether or not the private sector could take care of the homeless and the poor…. There are ways that this could be accomplished….
… but I personally am not going to wait around holding my breath for a political party to do what needs to be done because the film "The Corporation" did a good job of showing how large organizations tend to behave more and more and more like sociopaths……….. I suspect it will probably need to be a smaller group than a political party that will take an action like this!

    Intriguing idea!!!!!

I personally thought that it was because they were getting far far far too close to companies like Monsanto, Big Oil and Big Pharma!

Something positive about the recession of 2008 is that it was a crisis of confidence caused partly by the film "An Inconvenient Truth" and "The Future of Food" and other documentaries that were getting the point through to investors that we need to make some serious changes in the way that we are doing business.

A truly good economist would have taken all those trillions that seemed to disappear…. and chalk up the same figure to an asset entitled perhaps……"Humility!"

The private sector should not be expected to take care of the poor or homeless...but it should not create them either.

That would be out of the democrat playbook but not necessarily from reality. That along with using the race card all the time no matter if there is any racism or not does not seem to tire the partisan faithful.

Each political party would certainly be somewhat closer to the truth…… than the other one…… on any major question that we bring up.

I honestly believe that the Democratic Party does a far far far far better job of selling itself to people who are concerned about climate change…..but…….. a powerful case can be presented that Prime Minister Stephen Harper and President Bush understood the implications of Global Dimming…………… and thus decided to stay away from a carbon tax or cap and trade system that yes….. would cost our nations billions of dollars….. but also because a badly planned carbon tax could greatly reduce Global Dimming… which would probably cause rapid Global WArming… which could be an even worse disaster than has been on our hands.

The Republican Party does a far better job of selling itself as "pro-life" but………… it is primarily because of their economic situation that so many young mothers decide that their situation is a bit like Masada….(although they would be unlikely to use that comparison)…. so they choose a form of suicide….abortion… which to them is preferable to the metaphorical slavery to an economic system that is far more Roman than we would like to admit. So perhaps the Democratic Party is in some senses…. actually more so pro-life!?

American politics are far more complicated than we would perhaps like to imagine.

It is much more complicated than the simplistic memes each party uses against the other.

Maybe I am naive….. but I am expecting that the political leadership of most nations will arise to a level of sincerity and genuine goodwill toward the citizens that they work for………… over the coming years and decades…. partly due to the effect that some of those impressive studies in parapsychology and pseudoscience are having on all of us!?

Notice that in the future shown to Howard Storm…. people were not head over heels in debt!

    http://www.near-death.com/storm.html#a04

Surely images of a better future such as this one…. (if they are valid)…… imply a far more altruistic group of people being in positions of political power!

So true…. but those simplistic memes can flip two or three percent of voters and cause somebody who could have been an exceptionally good President to downgrade to "Loser" status!

Have you seen the film "Mitt?"

    I thought it was excellent!

If the historical figure Rabbi Yeshua/ Jesus…. has really actually gone to a place where he has "all power in haven and earth" than this being has a right to expect his "Bride" to rise up to a higher level on consciousness as well as influence than has been the case in the past!

I am sure that the idea of this happening though would scare over 80% of people who read through this thread …… because it is astonishing how nasty we Christians have behaved toward each other and toward every other group over these past 1700 years after we attained some level of political influence and wealth.
