This looks like something the Lincoln Project would dream up. At any rate if there is anything real about it, these guys should be treated like Klansman, David Duke.

Trump's music has been far better than Reagan's. ;-)

I don't know about future tense but I asked if you boycotted Reagan and Trump in the past since they both derived celebrity from either movies or TV? You said you boycotted musicians and theatrical people that preach their politics. Reagan and Trump definitely preached politics so I was wondering if you boycotted them. You did not answer.

Well, if Trump ever goes back into entertainment and uses that platform to preach politics to me I'll be boycotting his acts.

You're making far too much of a simple statement.

Does your answer mean that you approve of Trump being in favor of Kanye and Torres and perhaps him putting them in positions of power if he is re-elected in 2024?

Trump cancelled his contract for the apprentice after he started running for president and was replaced by Arnold. So essentially he was on TV right up to the moment he ran BUT regardless of whether they are actively in the entertainment industry the big advantage that people like Trump, Reagan and Arnold had when running for office is people knew who they were. The platform you are talking about is fame. That is the advantage of celebrity. Reagan, Trump and Arnold never preached politics in their movies or TV shows. They did so outside of those professional areas because when they speak people listen to them. It is not like Taylor Swift is singing about how bad Trump is, but when she talks people listen. Same thing with the activist Baldwin. Which movie did Baldwin attack Trump in. If anything he portrayed a highly conservative executive in 30 Rock.

I think that is about as likely as Trump appointing Hilary to the supreme court if he is returned to office

How does that affect your thinking on Trump regarding Kanye and Torres?

Why is it important to your decision what others do or do not do? You have shown up to now to have very strong opinions yourself. Why do you deflect to others now?
I think you should listen again to the video. It does not sound like he meant what you think he meant. I think you are assuming that because it does not help your cause.

    That is your OPINION though.

Trump as often put incompetent people into positions of power and that fact alone, suggests he is as likely to do something like that as not.

it is your silly opinion that Trump often put incompetent people into positions of power while ignoring the fact that the failed Biden administration picks people mainly to fill racial quotas rather than getting the most competent people available. Example, his supreme court pick and his VP

I try not to partake in left wing cancel culture. I do have to admit that the desire can be overwhelming sometimes, but I always try to make choices based on logic instead of emotion.

Nothing turns me off more than going to a concert only to be subjected to political bs. I didn't spend my hard earned money to hear political speech. So, if I know an artist is proned to mix politics in with their music, I prefer to just put on a record instead of going to a live performance.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't go to one of their concerts.

I mean do I like Springsteen's politics? No. Would I listen to his music? I would.

A lot depends on context. Would I watch some of Disney's newer movies? No. Would I pay for their streaming service? No. Am I ok with their older movies? Sure.

I can't stand Stephen King as an individual, but have read a lot of his books.

I get it though....I really do....

    Are you speaking from experience?

You seem to be ignoring the reality that the overwhelming majority of Kanye West Followers are kids that are fans of his music. It appears that you are wrongly assuming followers mean people that support his antisemitic positions.

Id venture to say most of them know little to nothing of him beyond his music.

Nonetheless, Trump thinks highly of Kanye,. That is the nature of the OP. Who Kanye is and what Trump thinks of him.............and of Torres
