That kind of antiquated and lowbrow 'sexualisation' of women is such an anachronism that it has it's own novelty value. The novelty is complete when you factor in just how incredibly dated the standard 'look' is on these women. Hence the appeal to very old men, I guess

 

It's not that sex doesn't sell, but that it needs to be at least vaguely relevant. The Fox brand of 'sexy' is so antiquated that it's a source of comedy. They all look as though it's still 1989. Utterly suburban conventional, and zero concession to any other fashion culture or even century (given they're currently in the late 20th).
