SAT scores improve roughly 100 points on math and verbal for the second taking . . . which is what the prep courses guarantee. Intelligence does remain pretty static.

There is no high school student of even less than average intelligence in the US who had taken both the SAT and an IQ assessment that would say the two tests were similar.
SAT tests aren't given. They are proctored. IQ tests are only facilitated in the event one is disabled or impaired.
The test is different every time with the SAT. If you don't understand Algebra or Geometry, your math score is gonna suck even if you take it 100 times.

There area private tutors and agencies that can be paid in hopes of increasing an SAT score but I don't know any with money back guarentees.
IQ remains static. Your skillset or acquisition of information can profoundly change.

I have given many I.Q. tests and proctored a few SATs. I.Q. tests can look like just about anything from repeating a series of number to putting together puzzles. I have taken quite a few I.Q. test and I don't consider myself disabled or impared,

Who did you give IQ tests to? For what purpose? In what environment? What are your credentials?

I am a reading specialist. One of the assessments when dealing with students with reading difficulties is I.Q. The students I deal with range from 1st to 12th grade. I am certified in Texas with a lifetime teaching certificate and a masters degree.

Intervention programs have shown that both IQ and SAT scores can be boosted. While it is true that intelligence stabilizes in adulthood intelligence must be nurtured to reach its genetic potential. The better the quality of your environment the closer you get to realizing your genetic potential for intelligence.

The quote above is directly relevant to this thread. We can not assume that because intelligence is highly heritable that group differences in IQ must be caused by genetic differences.

If you're asking me for individuals then I would say someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson. I could list many other examples. Obviously someone who is well-educated and both academically and professionally successful would qualify as someone with extraordinary intelligence.

And just as obviously, you aren't. Interestingly, I did this after 20 years in the Army as an Airborne Ranger. Uncle Sugar paid for my education.

It would be someone that you would not know. But I would like to hear who your choice would be nonetheless.

Kids aren't being educated out of mental retardation. An individual's IQ at 18 will be the same at 28 despite education.
Genes have as much to do with intelligence as they do heart disease.
He is educated. Has he invented anything? Pioneered a particularly important project?

IQ tests in public education are only utilized for testing for gifted programs or to establish the need for special education or supplemental assistance that is usually managed via an IEP. "Average students don't take IQ tests. After grade school they are obsolete. Advanced class placement is contingent on recommendation and performance in that area.
A reading specialist wouldn't have 1st-12th grade students. And if you had 1st, you would have began with kindergarten or K.
You demonstrate absolutely no familiarity with the US public education system. At all.

Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Alexander Fleming, Ray Charles... If I had to pick between ingenuity and education...I'd pick the former.

I.Q. test are rarely used to screen for GT or retardation these days because of complaints by Blacks. Kindergarten student don't generally read, they do work at pre-literacy skills. I taught 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th and high school before becoming a reading specialist. I have a lifetime teaching certificate in Texas all levels.

Elementary school teachers, middle school teachers, and high school teachers get very different college education and degrees.
Kindergarten students are taught vocabulary and reading. Seems a Texas public educator, ESPECIALLY a reading specialist, would mention ESOL-English as a second language students and the importance of bilingual educators....Markedly so regarding reading.
After elementary school students don't have reading. They have English or Literature. Struggling students are moved back to more basic classes and supplement by staying after for school tutoring with their teacher.
Middle and high school students that are pulled out of class for assistance by a specialist would definitely have an IEP. They would likely also have a designated period or block for that in place of elective classes.
You mention lifelong teaching certificate but not tenure... Nothing about NCLB or accreditation...

Mental retardation is defined by an IQ under 70.
You also never mentioned the ACT.

And you teach 3rd or 5th grade. You teach 8th grade Lit and state history or 7th grade physical science and math. After 5th grade you specialize in subjects.

What is the most obvious contrast regarding your SAT and ACT portfolio?

In Texas the certificates are elementary, secondary and all level. As secondary my specialization is math.

Get a master degree or become a coach. I kinda like the ACT better, gives more information. I did well on both. School east of the Mississippi tend to like SAT, west ACT.
