No one on this thread said that all taxes are illegal. No one. Ever. Why do you insist on spreading that fantasy?

Since you still haven't consulted the Constitution: it is the authority of Congress, not the President, to create taxes. So Trump hates both due process and the separation of powers.

1) Tariffs are taxes
2) The Constitution says that taxes are Congress's power
3) The President is not Congress

The founders were almost all Deists not Christians as the evangelicals would have us believe. Many were Masons. The only big government they feared was England and European' aristocracy and royalty. "Liberal government" had little to do with the times. Most governments at the time were aristocracies. Whether they held "strong Christian social values" is debatable. Most were wealthy owners of land and slaves.

 

Who cares if liberals hate it? No use blaming it all on imaginary Marxists.
