If women are capable of serving in combat roles, then why aren't they part of the draft?

So you don't think that being prepared to go to war at any time is sufficient? Some might even argue that there's not much difference between preparing and planning.

I can guarantee that any military planner worth his/her salt not only has attack plans for every military - friend or foe - that country's military could realistically take, it also has defense plans for all those it can't. The US military has entire departments within each branch devoted to it. I promise you plans for the utter destruction of the entire Commonwealth exist side by side with the plans to ensure Moscow and Beijing glow in the dark, and Britain has defense/retaliation plans against us.

 

I guess I was thinking of 'planning for war' in terms of KNOWING that a war will happen. When I plan for something, I know that it's going to happen.

While I understand the threat posed by the scumbag Chinese and Russians, I'm not sure what you're saying about my homeland, Britain. Why would they need to have defense/retaliation plans against the US?

 

No, because nobody outside of political junkies care about such things. Most people do not think about it because it has no impact on their lives.
