Marion Le Pen is awful and embodies everything that is wrong with the contemporary right. Modern day Republicans look to Europe for inspiration which is why they are trash too.

    "Ils sont partout!"

Indeed they are. "They" being yesteryear's Socialists who are now today's Right. :)

Most Republicans don't know who Le Pen is, so I really doubt they are drawing any inspiration from her.

Le Pen comes from a clearly fascist past. Unfortunately, that word has been so overused it will probably be misinterpreted here, but is literally the case. Sorry (not really), but intellectual contempt for far left tendencies is at least equaled by visceral disgust for the far right.
Macron is the only choice that will continue present stability, and that is slightly preferable to alternatives, even though he is "no great shakes". The vision of someone like Le Pen facing Putin, Xi and similar is too terrible to contemplate. Her absence of economic acumen is astonishing as well.

Nathalie Arthaud - for la lutte ouvrière

One really has to admire her.
Bravely she runs for President - again and again and again.
Even though she has no chance.
She always gets only very few votes.
But she runs again and again and again.
    A brave woman!

I do, and one doesn't have to agree with every policy a candidate has, and in her case a look at the opposition makes it clear she is the best option. It's also clear in the way France's current Republic is set up she will have to share power with another Party or coalition, so that will be a moderating factor. Presidents aren't dictators in France.

FDR, America's greatest President, implemented many fascist programs, although many right wing loons here keep trying to paint him as a commie stooge. And some of them were struck down by the Supreme Court, in any case. So yes, it is a term that most people who use it don't actually know what they're talking about. It isn't always a negative re economic policies, while commie rubbish always is a negative, and always ends up relying on brutal repression and mass murders to solve its problems.

And because she is fiercely pro-Russia of course.

Heck, even her campaign leaflet has a picture of her and Putin, but there is a bigger problem: Due to her party's racist and anti-Semitic views, French banks have refused to lend money for her campaign, so she turned to her trusted friend: mother Russia. Yep, she has been campaigning on Russian money.

lol she has no 'racist' or 'anti-semitic' views. Left wingers and assorted deviants have made those terms utterly useless through abuse and mad mental illness.

The French banks declined the loan applications saying her party has racist and anti-Semitic views. Not sure how that translates to "left wingers", but it seems anyone who has a disagreement, is labeled as such. The party has history of Holocaust denial, trashing muslims, etc, so its not like they just made it all up. And yes, she reached out to Russians for money, and got it.

Right? I was thinking the same thing. Neither party here in the US reflect my values. It's always the same old BS and the same old tired candidates from both. Complete garbage of a system, with the same 2 groups being in power for many decades.

And of course banks never have an interest in politics and Party platforms, and are always honest and objective, as are left wingers. Sure thing.

You are trying to argue the banks are "left wing" because they don't support Russia leg-humping Le Pen. Listen to yourself.
