When you ask a hypothetical question then you should expect a hypothetical answer .. If I thought for one second that having a law that defined a fetus post viability as a person would in some way appease the radical pro-lifers then it would be something I would seriously consider supporting, however whether I would support it depends on the terminology of the law and whether such a law is really required .. but .. within that law there would have to be specific exclusions for medical issues regarding the woman or the fetus, I would never support a law that made ALL aspects of abortion illegal no matter what .. however I know and you know that it won't end until one side or the other gets exactly what they want.

Roe is a very conservative law, had SCOTUS been more liberal they could very well have declared abortion legal at anytime for any reason, the fact that they allow states to impose restrictions is one of the reasons we are where we are now, had they not done that then laws such as the UVVA would not be in existence, by the ruling they made they have created a rod for their own back.
