Aspie's are like that. My son is Aspie. His opinions change yearly, at least. One year ago he was a full-on socialist. Everyone gives all their money to government and government tells you what you get.
Today, he's full on anti-government. He thinks all taxes should be voluntary. He also believes that everything government does can be handled better by for-profit companies, even for services where there is no profit to be realized.

They tend to be extremists, IMO. He's got friends with the same condition - they don't think in shades of grey.

(He's 20, so still formulating his ideology.)

I did not say that Blacks are not people.

The poster I replied to said he preferred that rights come from government. By his wish, government could take the right to freedom away from Blacks.

Democrats did it before. Can you be surprised that some of them want to do it again?

 

Rights do come from the gov't. Without some entity to grant/protect said rights, only might can make right.
And gov't can take rights away. Although, not easily. And they can add new rights, again, not easily based on our system. It takes amendments.

My other point, 1% of the people don't pay 70% of the taxes. Unless there's a source showing that it to be true. My 2 minute google search said that it's not 1%.

Your idea would tank the economy and send millions of jobs to other countries, asking with the capital investments they the former citizens of America were making.

Those policies do nothing good for a country except make those that support them pat themselves on the back.

My freedom of speech doesn't cost you a penny, nor does my right to own a gun. A natural/negative right doesn't cost other people money or require anyone else to do anything to ensure my right is secure. My negative rights are only taken away when a someone negates that right, like when a criminal kills a fellow human, they have negated their right to life.

You are speaking about positive rights, which requires me to do something (like give money,) in order for you to exercise your right to a house. In terms of positive rights, these are things that society needs to agree on. I may want you to give me your cash so I can buy a house, but you may feel differently. As a society, we can make a pact on which positive rights the society will pay for. Positive rights can be dangerous, IMO. These should be given very careful consideration by society.

You have a negative right to pursue happiness, but you don't have a positive right to take my money in order to make you happy.

Well, wouldn't you know it. I added up all the taxes collected, divided it by the 1% taxes paid, and I got 39%. Almost the same as my chart of 38% showed.
So again, where do you get 70%?

And one can't even say if there is a god, or then what god. It does mention some creator. Although the creator is undefined. But nope, no god is ever mentioned. That is made up.

And, if you could, please share with us those rights you say this god gave us. It must be written down somewhere by this god for American Gov't to know which rights are this god given.
Or did the founders make them up at the time and there is no written rights to mankind.
For when some god would have written them, I might think, arms really wasn't invented yet. Or if arms were invented, it was likely some sort of stone thing.

And if this god has given them to man, then every human on earth is granted those same rights. It can't be for a select group of humans.
