Immigration and Deportation

America is a country of legal immigrants. Conflating immigrants with illegal aliens is an insult to immigrants.

 

Again, you're missing the bigger picture. Simplifying the naturalization process will solve immigration in the long term.

You made me facepalm so hard. America was not meant to live in a bubble, as much to your dismay as that may be. Hell, America was founded BY an immigrant. To its very core, America was not meant to live in isolation, rather live in conjunction with the rest of the world. Otherwise you, I and many others would be living in England, Ireland and Germany.

 

America was not founded by third world refugees either.

 

And your point is?
My point is that America is not a country club, its not a selective clique like those you found in high school.

I have some co-workers and some neighbors who are muslims. I like them, I even consider some of them friends. Do they want to kill me? No. But the bigger question is WOULD they if it was requested by some cleric and told it was Allah's will? Perhaps. If my minister said that to me, I would say no that isn't God's will the way I believe and I would say he was crazy. That is the difference between us. I agree with you.
